    Out for a walk this morn my whip pup 18 weeks old was chased and being attacked by a cairn terrier whilst fetching a ball doing retrieving training, my other whip bitch 20 mths old just left a mark in the grass were hit hit the terrier at full speed, now I didn't think she would defend the pup as they as not related in any way, has anyone else had any instances like this.     I have a kc whip I lure course and race from coursing lines, not bad for her weight in a straight line @ ped racing, traps well, but lure courses very well, of to highclere at the BSFA this Sunday, she works with ferrets very well probably too keen at the moment but she's still young.     Whippets are not the right dog for fox, right tool for the job and all that, I expect there's always exceptions but in general not enough weight and power singled, just my op though. ATB Bryan.

    The whole walk will be a training exercise without stress, getting used to the traffic walking to the field let the pup see how the other dogs are not bothered by car noise, once in the field let it go with the other dogs let it meet other dogs that you know take plenty of treats and reassure the pup all the time. Don't make the pup walk too far just 20 mins for mine at the mo. if its raining be carefull in waterlogged fields it doesn't get out of its depth following the other dogs. ATB Bryan.

    Is there anything that ease's stinger nettles just watching the dog dancing about after charging through them it's a good laugh but not for the dog. Regards Bryan.

    Heres mine 18"tts Races, Lure courses and works, fast as, and turns great. From Harerunner lines, Laguna lines still going there small and Moonlake lines all good coursing dogs and fast.

    Any pics mate, I have an 18"tts whip bitch and have another pup that sire was 19"tts and dam 17.5" so expect her to be about the same. ATB Bryan.

    I've got a 10week old whippet bitch and I'm feeding 3 meals a day now was 4 morning is scrambled egg or weetabix with goats milk and wet meat puppy (wainwrights puppy 0 - 1 year) with a small sprinkle of small bite mixer, but the goats milk is for her bones until she gets older, my other 18 month old whip bitch eats 3 meals aswell James wellbeloved complete in morn and at midday and in the evening free flow tripe and occasionally in the evening before bed a weetabix and goat milk, I give them as much as they can eat as I've not seen a fat whippet that works rabbit or big rabbit?     Just had my 2 jabbed tonight £20 for both but it was something out of James Herriot with the ferret hanging off the vets finger lol she did say it may sting abit and the ferret let her know when I did the second one I told the vet that this is the feisty one you should have seen her face.     When the police enter like that they supposed to be a team but I didn't see much team work there and had that been me I would have had a few f@@@@@g words to say to them all, there was loads of options there but they were not prepared for that. Bryan
