  1. I don,t think,you do hunt,so?.Nugget.
  2. Why?,i know Gordan and also know if you sift through the dross in his mucky yard a few diamonds are to be found, some not with stolen ancestory and overated lineage, some not even from Nelson,Colne and Bradford, some that have not been thieved and sold on?No ive never had a jukel off Gordan, tempted once with a litter of 11 month old Deerhound/Grey x Saluki,s,should have taken one but i did,nt fancy meeting the real owners wrath.
  3. I owned a bitch, bred from a lad in St.Helens,84-85,paid £40,at 13 month old it pissed all over a so called top dog that cost £1100,the fella offered me £100 for the bitch, possibly thinking a young fella would be enamoured by his name and brass,i laughed and went my way,a fortnight later the dog was taken from my kennels,i oft wonder how much of todays modern breeding comes from her.Top dogs are often bred from unknown lines and disguised as other breedings. thats the exact reason i dont post pictures or posts about dog.my dog no world beater anyway, just like a good nights out, regardless of n

  5. Id agree to a certain extent, what about the dogs in the kennels of lesser known men, dogs that do the bizz season in and out, dogs that can be sourced buckshee or for a small fee, dogs that when they hit the spotlight of so called top dog men are bought for extravagant amounts of dosh and then run on in another mans name, then command extravagant fees for pups and stud. Most of these so called top bloodlines originate in lesser known and cheaper sourced kennels.
  6. Educate the dog,its very little trouble and training to stock break a dog, cows, sheep even ferrets, why some struggle with it is sometimes beyond my comprehension, move certain members dinner plate 7 inch and they would starve to death.
  7. The Beddy produces a different type of lurcher than a Wheaton, different dogs that are usually bred for different disciplines in the field, for my tuppence worth the Beddy produces a wider ranging variation of working lurchers than the Wheaton, the Wheaton x would not generally suit a Beddy x owner and vice versa.
  8. Is that the dogs or the leads?. Someone has had too much Tizer tonight, you'll never sleep now! Old Real Tree .......... I thought you bought the ones I was selling? I could hold a dog back on a silk cord,or tie it to a tractor and make use of some of them Strong stuff collars, individual owners and how much they put into the dogs education, educate or emancipate i suppose, how much does it cost now to shackle an un educated jukel?,£25,£30?. What a dick you are. What the fck is a "jukel"? Are you trying to be a olde worlde pi.key poacher, or have you just read too many (shite) books

  11. If you need to turn on a computer and have the need to ask more or less total strangers, then, the dogs better off elsewhere.Personally id have wanted the mutt back home, then id have had a good long look and inspection, then id have tested its education and fitness, then id have decided if the mutt was going to be useful to the team, then id have decided what best would suit the mutt, lastly i may have turned the computer on.Nugget.you the man, never hurt to get an opinion although I already know what I think, Nugget opinions are like arseholes, ill stick to mine ,you share yours withever whoever you

  13. Ah bless,another nugget that can,t tie a knot.
  14. Depending on the dogs breeding will determine the amount of slip lead the dog will be better adjusted to,yeh right,as i see you come from over the sea ill take it into account, another thick mick, apologies for my sons that now live in West Belfast.
  15. No decent vets in Keighley, would,nt know the difference between a dog and a whippet.
  16. The terrier lads are always so much more reliable, good result there mucker.
  17. Im sure there will be plenty of terriermen even wenches on here that have encountered the same problem,if you come across any of them, blacken their fecking eye.
  18. And a big casserole pot to eat the evidence,no wonder im so fecking skinny.

  20. Beddys are not renowned,on the whole, for having the best of jackets, ive only ever had trouble once with a cold wet un,nearly finished the lass, any terrier in a wet cold spot for a prolonged duration will suffer the same,i had a Beddy dog stuck last week for 22 hours,he spent a freezing night stuck in rocks, wet.muddy and cold,he came out a tad unbalanced but after warming up and a feed he,s been fine since.Id start with a Lakey,Fell type, you can make mistakes with them and be harder on them, than you could with a Beddy.
  21. "any x that has no bull saluki or whippet in it is a goodun" got to disagree with you there mate. surely saluki would benefit when coursint a hare and a touch of bull would help on the reds. especially doing a few in one day/night. A touch of saluki or bull in a Deerhound/grey-Collie/grey,will take more from the breeding than it will add,it never needed it for many, many decades, only in poor and misguided breeding.3 dogs in the mix is hard enough to control and breed to some sort of type, adding another 2 to the mix will throw the breeding all over and take away from what the original model
  22. Shit hot, brilliant mix, especially if they throw more greyhoundy maybe a deerhoundxgrey x bullx grey might be a better choise for the above pre ban, as deerhound might give better tenacity than collie in the mix , the dxg x bxg does sound like a good x , anybody ever worked them .? Putting Bull in the mix with this type of breeding will only make for a lesser finished article, especially on a longer more testing gallop and a pup that throws to the Greyhound may possibly have a speed advantage but will lose the advantage as the dog is required to test itself for longer and more regul
  23. Whenever i drew blanks i looked elsewhere,if that did,nt produce then it was on to the next spot, nothing comes to you, look, then look, then look again, its all there for the people that look the hardest and longest.
  24. Put in the yardage and its nigh on impossible not to bump into a chase, its far easier to give in and wait for the good times, locations and green grass,do the miles, accept the blank nights and days, then learn were the runs and challenges are, then take advantage of the lessons that the toil puts in.
  25. its easier to give in than put in the extra yards and commitment,i remember in the not so distant past,me and a mucker wore boots and dogs out to fill a game bag, walked the same land daytime, then re traced our footsteps in the lamp and covered it again.what you put in will reward,no easy or quick fixes, time effort and footwork will give more than any time moaning on a computer network.
