    Lamped rabbits and foxes, ferreting, tryed my hand at digging but it wasnt for me so back to the ferreting and lamping, also snared a few rabbits, trapped a few mink in my old cage trap but ive sold that now, would love to go ratting sometime and would love to find a colony of grey squirrels so i can try my hand at snaring them... Also tagged along a few times with local lads shooting goats and deer. I also would like to try my hand at other types of hunting abroad. Tryed fishing but i caught feck all, really need someone who knows what their doing to show me the ropes

    Had a lurcher bitch that was a tramp for straying, got her as a young adult and whilst she had good recall she was very clever at breaking out and bringing herself off hunting the second you took your eye off her, she was very streetsmart, good with livestock the works... The biggest problem was she would often bring one of the others with her.. And the others werent streetsmart.. she was so charming with people it was hard to tell her off, a young lad begged me for her as he fell in love with her, she still brings herself off hunting and returns home with the odd bunny even now

    Jeezo gem, that's like an Oscar speech good post Thats the short version baw but if it wasnt for me moving to ireland when i did id probably be a homeless alcoholic by now. You must be the only person who goes to Ireland to get away from alcohol Its hard to explain baw... i didnt have much of a life outside work and the pub in england, my mates were sad little lowlifes and i didnt even know it, when i moved to ireland i was stuck in the middle of nowhere and had to adapt... i have got problems with drink but ive more important things to be doing than drinking

    In no particular order... My grandad... RIP. He fought in WW2, was a builder by trade and a very keen gardener, grew all his own veg for many years. Influenced me greatly as i learnt at a young age it was possible to be self sufficient or at least partly self sufficient My mother... Never has there been a women so good at making a small bit of money go far...     it doesnt look like a running dog which must surely be an advantage in certain areas but what im curious about it looks like it wouldnt half chow down a lot of feed... are these crosses capable of catching enough to feed themselves and their owners?

    My cousin that lives in ireland seen the brother to lucas advertised on done deal about a year or so ago chap. Dont know if he was good or bad or their was a good reason for sale, he just mentioned it to me last year when i was looking for a pup. If it was lucas brother and not a load of shite talk to sell a saluki x Then its still a rare event that a decent dog comes up for sale on donedeal Same with pups, very rare a litter comes up from genuine dogs... You get told anything to sell pups at overinflated prices here

    All the more reason to not only research the type of lurcher you want but to also search for the best bred litter available... 99% of dogs advertised on preloved/donedeal/gumtree/facebook are shite-Average at best.

    I would love for deer to come back onto the quarry list for dogs... We were promised by enda kenny prior to fine fael getting into goverment that they would remove the ban put into place by the green party! Lying c**t.

    Im starting to think some saluki strains are easier to train than others... Mine was a bit of a nightmare but has improved drastically, hes definately a 1 man dog, whilst he loves people im the only one he obeys. As for everyone keeping salukis... I usually keep bull x's and bitzas
