your correct on the practise, I was using the back of throat "gargling" technique, and thought it was giving a good call, after around 3 hrs, I had figured out how to use the "stomach" air as he demostrates on u tube, and its a totally different call saying that, yesterday was a total waste, hardly a bird in the sky

if you were to get this years kitts, you aint got to worry about breeding until next year, wether you get homes or jills, 2 x jills can live together all year round, but you'd need to either get them jabbed next year, or run them with a snipped hob, 2 x hobs can live together all year round, if you get two brothers as kitts, they will live together, keeping an eye on them next year for to much aggression, and if so, get both castrated, or split them in the summer months, and get one snipped I have 3 intact hobs that live together all year round, no fighting I also have 4 cast

its always a good idea to pair ferrets together, when your going to be in for the day,(to watch and listen) if the jill is correctly in season, you'll know they have mated, as all day the hob should be ragging her, you'll also hear squeals as though he's murdering her, plus the marked back of her neck, if you havent witnessed any of this, Id say she wasent ready the first time, and may need a second visit from him

showing my age here, but if you use something like 3/8" ply on all of it, but use 1/8 ply for the bow back, it will bend easily without the need to cut lines in, or soaking

nice looking hutch, although Id add more woodchip to the floor, and loose the carpet on the ramp, they will climb a wood ramp easy, or use some of your corrigated tubing, a ferret could all too easily catch a claw on the fibres in carpet and rip a claw off,

take end of collar, slip into buckle by about 5mm, hold onto this, place collar over ferrets head, like a lasso, then do up collar, as stated above, if your worried about the ferret biting you, then its not handled enough, if your not worried, whats the problem

have been toying with the idea of reloading, mainly for the 20 gauge, now I gather that unless Im making 1000's then it may not be cost effective, but what the heck anyway, couple of questions as I know nothing what would be the difference in loading a cart for game or sport, as reading price lists, they can both have same amount of powder/shot, yet clay carts are normally cheaper how much powder/shot would be needed to make up a 1000 carts, so I can approximate an £'s amount do they do a book "reloading for dummies" where do you store your powder, thinking the missus may

any type structure/court thats built for the ferts, is better than a cage, just go for it, you can always add/remove bits at a later date, good forward thinking on the drain,

Ive only been decoying around 10 months, and did'nt want to spend a fortune getting all the kit, incase it was'ent my cup of tea, twelve shell deeks from evil bay for around £16, they bring the pigeons down, yes have had a few come down then speed off, but that could also be down to my hide etc, I would'ent worry too much, go out and enjoy it, remember to keep still till the last minute, -
