Been said depends what one hunts on the night ,rabbit dogs some like text book stuff straight in hand etc. others not to fussy a yard a 2close enough stamina durability strong foot and brain one can then get ta work with the animal it's no big shakes even the most prey driven types can be mastered ,it's all about the handler and his approach and skill a great bond a must , break the bond and then one loses the animal. Some like no nose what they all have the new age times have brung a new age lamper but there still be old school types that want a relationship with there animal and these can

Gem he seems he could be ok for breeding a would not worry about canine disciplines try him on live game etc preban would be creatures with teeth etc the feet would be rectified with a grey and likes has said it could of caused through poor nutrition has a whelp y'all be surprised on close scrutiny in the dog world how many stud dogs either have physical defects and lots of throw some in there offsprings it's all about selection.atb bunnys -

Gem he looks a fine animal and hope comes good for yas but on a note would it be his lack of drive or turned out foot structure making you not want to breed him, I believe they could be a very good xs for the right folk from the right animalsAnd I also believe if thy only needs ta please thyself and maybe one a 2others go for it forget all theories from those with no experience. Of Ppds Take no head. Atb bunnys. -
There seems to be a few breeders of ditches in loincoln area grey does lots to iron little genetic faults but drive ont be one a them a really driven animal would be my choice of that side of the xs and mostly other type with out good drive well nothing more needs to be said ,good drive will a least give thee a defensive driven animal when xs end with grey other than that why breed from a lack lustre type all these types dutchies malls European Alsatians the good uns have drive . Even now one needs to be very selective on the f1hybrid thee ain't been here to long either Atb bunnys

Gem I don't believe there many of any of the settee shepherd des about ,but folk are seeing for what these breeds can produce in a base type xs but he's like has said think of the very worst behaviour in a lurcher treble it and there yas goes also one can get the vey best of base types for all round lurched work from them ,breeding them ta death likes has all things rings the death of a type for those who like shepherd types stick ta ya collie types and steal well clear of a type that suit very few.atb bunnys. -
There be some folks that keep em indoors bath there jukels immediately back from a night on ta lamp but hey they then get stretched out on the leather full bore central heating it's all what folks do has they desire .in simple forms a good bit a heat can make a hell of a difference fact night back rub down kennel tubes in switched on good grub generate the internal heat and a good cozy warm bed morning stroll empty out stretch back ta bed afternoon prela,p meal ready go again, with the little bits of extra makes the difference and mean a yr a 2longer in ta field of work before the dreaded

I believe to consider run animals in wet cold conditions hrs on end night and day to deny a good warm bed ta me his poor stockman ship wet animals Cana dry put in ta kennel or bed so quickly with out a good rub down and a bit of heat what Eva way provided winter time cold miserable nights and days are more or less the norm a we bit of heat don't make a dog Mesh it helps recovery etc .atb bunnys.

I'm inclined to agree mate. My dogs live inside now but I went in my dogs kennel last winter (it's 6x4) in the middle of the night and sat in there for a couple of hours. It was lovely and warm. It's not specially insulated. Just a tongue and groove kennel with chopped straw bedding. It was plenty warm enough. I did use a heat lamp for 8 weeks when I got this pup back in February, just for piece of mind. I suppose it depends on a lot of factors though. Some of them whippet crosses in particular are very thin skinned and not all kennels are adequately draught proof etc. If whippet crosses

Get a set of spraggs gaz knock a catty up ,all training summer mthe for pups moorhens ducks long tails,I believe if one has a lurcher showing a liking for water I use this to take the dog further surprising how rabbs hares etc preban would use water to evade capture all good eating off the water keeps livestock fed also.atb bunnys.

Sounds a well handy type. I was looking at Lurchers but put it off for long time as have gone back to study a degree , maybe in the future they'd be worth a look but I'd be worried couldn't give it the work or be good enough to train one lol . I would not worry about having to train one they a doddle, it's the time needed and input day in day out . Although the lurchers from the malls I seen were steady but that's f1s for ya grey steadies them down from pure form and of course different lines are more driven .atb bunnys -

There his pure malls being lumped in the UK and has been for some time, these fellas just lamp for fun andta keep there animals happy ,they catch rabbis easily and in given areas such has dale and rough terrainn do ok for the casual mooching lamping type a. Man camping hiking for days etc jogging personnel protection general trapper hunter these will take a hell of a lot a beating they can be trained to a very good standard easily and thrive on it,where has Alsatian type can at times be stubborn , has for the mall xs greyhounds the ones 2i have seen are lots more mentally tougher than the A -

It's a good point breeding on from these types to improve them ,here's my take and thoughts on this . Depending what ones looking for in the next generation ,if recovery more stay and lighten them up with out losing to much strength coursing hound would suit we have bred these on to a whin bred animal and the dogs come in at twenty six good lungs very strong and the sensitive nature gone guarding instinct went also so it's swings and roundabouts what one so desires I believe these type of sxesing although can catch just about ought in these here islands they are bred for a specific job and at -
