Where would you watch a husky work ??, Iceland ?. Any dog that wants to run and pull a sled all day will I admit have stamina and be remarkably fit, it will also be fecking brain dead to want to do so. You say the Siberian is one of the smartest dogs out but not biddable, total contradiction, if they're smart ( which they're not ) then they should be biddable. Everyone knew it was Whin, mods and everyone else probably thought he would fit back in discreetly and not fall back into his old style that seen him get banned. He managed for a while, didn't last long though he's as bad as ever. Change of medication required methinks. he had us all fooled with the english flag lol A cunning ploy mate and one that might have worked if he'd actually posted in English, the Swahilli gave it away. -

It's the repetition that grinds you down, sure, the mans entitled to his opinion as is every other member, but the majority of Whins posts all read the fecking same, he would be quicker just copying and pasting his posts, little changes. He actually had me thinking my go to first unread post facility wasn't working, I kept thinking I've read that one, when it was actually a new post saying the exact same as the fecking last god knows how many. -

Whin, your correct, photos don't prove anything, but then I don't recall anyone saying they did. No one is making any outlandish claims about dogs, in fact from what I've read PP is saying the line throws duffers and he has had duffers, refreshingly honest from where I'm sitting. I like looking at these old photos, even if it's just to play guess the car. I'm not one for taking pics now but I have amassed a few over the years as far back as 1977, it's not all about the bag, I've got photos of me sitting on a ferret box with a right stupid look on my face, proves nothing but jogs my memory and

This is the bit I don't quite understand, in this instance it's border terriers but check the threads and it's various other breeds where people are lamenting the demise of working dogs/lines. Here's an idea, get together, there are enough people on this thread alone spouting about lack of working lines, buy them, rear them, work them, for a few seasons and spread them amongst yourselves, not rocket science, or is it just easier to sit and moan about a breeds passing rather than actually getting off your arse and doing something about it. Is this the beginning of the end??. The web for all its downfalls has allowed people to communicate and discuss things which pre web would have been unlikely. People are catching on and querying things now whereas before it was just accepted ( a lot still do) I don't know what lies ahead but it's going to be interesting to watch.

Use the rspca, that's what the bstards are there for, go the full way with it, if everything is as you say it should be a straight forward case. An added bonus would be a cruelty conviction against plod, which is also ideal from the point of view it wouldn't do the plod/rspca relationship much good, have them fecking each other instead us for a change. A police officer taken to task by the rspca (as should be) may just become an asset in future dealings with them.

A working dog can make an excellent pet, I'd hazard a guess a lot of working dogs on here are also pets. As regards to cost, as I've said before it's the buyers decision and no one elses what the pay for a pup.

You could do that if all else fails, I'd have a go at rectifying the problem, keeps it tidier. But you could use a trailer board just make sure you secure it on tight enough and you don't lose it half way down the road wherever your going.

Harder to wean a small litter, take them away from the bitch they'll soon eat. Also forget all the weetabix rice pudding carry on,none of that in the wild, mash up or mince some meat then you'll see them eat.

I find looking at pictures very soothing and theraputic after dechiphering Whins posts, sort of like an antedote to total meltdown.

Bad earth mate, most likely places are the seven pin socket on your car, the seven pin plug that goes into it or water corrosion in the lights on the trailer tent. Plug someones trailer/caravan into your car that you know is ok if it works fine that's you ruled the car out, open the seven pin plug and lights up and clean any dodgy looking connection up and check the printed circuit in the light units for rust/corrosion.

Looking at that pedigree you've basically got a collie saturated lurcher which to my mind is no bad thing. What made you decide to go to the full collie Andy??. I bred something not unlike that way years back IE a long established line but I opted for a first cross as an outcross as opposed to a full collie. How did the rest of the litter from the collie dam fare??.
