  1. I think that the owner of that dog is on this site as I saw the dog in pics before but they were posted by someone else the other pics were better from the side.
  2. I do not see why every body is so busy wrecking this guys dog ad. Someone has to sell dogs or no one would own any. If he is rehoming dogs then he is doing that . If he is selling dogs for profit so be it. All in all who really cares. I would sell any dog I own for the right money but they are not for sale. I find it funny that no one has sold a dog before that they did not get on with or just wasnot up to snuff. I see it everywhere every dog for sale is someones reject no matter what the excuse.
  3. Sounds like she was not up to your adventure, I agree with time off, but not to much and let her go at some real easy catches get her confidense up.
  4. That is the breeding season they are not thinking strait and doing silly things you do not see at other times
  5. i would just use the greys from the track and see if you can catch any, If you do and they need help let a bull out at the catch. I would try older bitches and younger dogs from the track.
  6. I hunt coyotes with stags actually there are quite a few guys on here that do.
  7. heh pegleg open another window go to picoodle.com press browse, select an image of your computer, click open, then resize for forums and download. after it downloads copy the second link. then paste it on your reply on its own line. preview your post. and you can redo it if it does not copy properly under the preveiw and then press preview again you can keep doing this till you get it right. I hunt coyotes with sighthounds and terriers also some cur crosses
  8. Pegleg, Lets see some pics of your hounds.
  9. There is a litter for sale in Ontario. I talk to the lady and think they are more of a pet than a fearless hunter. Any way they were cheap. PM and I will send her number to you.
  10. My stags do the business for me. But I owned borrowed and tried lots to get a couple good ones. I run my dogs fairly hard in the winter months and find weekend warriers that breed there great dogs usually sell junk puppies from mediocore barely tried dogs. I prefer to cull and replace at the first sign of fear or weakness. Alot of people make excuses or keep there dogs kenneled all week and run them one weekend a month or less and think they have great dogs cause they are so wired. These people are also the talkers and seem to be the first to breed there dogs. They sell pups to newbies and the
  11. I run my dogs as soon as they want to but with caution. My pups run free learning and playing around the farm and start to restrained after they start to chase cows or sheep or killing cats. Then they learn there place. I take them and run them with the older dogs for exercise till they start to run harder than the veterans. Then I take them hunting and let them follow the old dogs on easy runs till they really start to contribute.
  12. Yep I just run coyote and the odd bunnie or coon on at night. I run doubled up and if I have a pup or not much time or lazy then I add some more dogs so they all get run. They get run everyday and I get paid for coyote removal on three different sheep farms. There are alot of foxes but they do not bother much so I leave them, A coyote pack will kill a adult sheep a day.
  13. It is a Coyote. Here our some pics I took just now, He is a little up tight as it is the first time in the house will get some better tomorrow, Edited to say that he is about 32 inches tall
  14. Here is a half bred running, the dog it is out running is a straight grey off the track but a older dog. But still not my type of dog yet, a little weak hearted and a bit big for me. He is not very agile but fast on a straight away, but maybe it is just this dog as his parents are 100% at there job and have many seasons on them. He turns two at christmas. So it could be his age, I will give him till spring to prove himself.
  15. A freind has a red bone greyhound cross the dog will out distance the stags and wear his prey out but on the shorter runs he is always last to the table. I had a grandpups of this dog and he was still not as fast as I would have liked. I traded him to a freind that liked him sorry no pics
  16. I would not worry about knowing to much, just be honest when talking to the breeders and make good friends with them and they will be there to help weather you buy from them or not. This hobby is all about the next generation of hunters and the old timers will gladly talk dogs with you as long as you are honest and respect them. You will get farther with the dogs by letting them do the talking for ya.
  17. I would agree get something that is out of good honest dogs that our used for what you need. You do not want a timid or overbearing dog untill you are ready. Timid dogs are not really good pets for the family you will probable have before the dog is gone and overbearing dogs are neat to show off but can you afford the vet bills associated with some of the over eager crosses. I think that if you want a dog for a job buy a pup thats parents are doing it and go for good tried and true type not fad dogs as you might get disheartend with the possibility of a no good one. Wait for the cross and the
  18. Well I am no profesional bull dog fella but If the dogs are not being used to fight they are not doing what they are bred for. So how do you select a dog for breeding that is dead game If fighting is illegal. I for one think that those being negative should explain how there dogs are bred from game tested dogs after all that is what the breed is about. I personally do not like the blues as they are to big and lazy mostly looks and color but would never knock a guy for being honest. I do believe he can post what he likes as he was polite and kurt. I also think that if someone sitting on the fe
  19. Any time you would like to run your pure dog against my mutts come along I have the feilds and the game. Oh and my mutts look good they are in shape and run in all weather. Kate I think you should really look at what a purebred show dog really is. A line bred unproven dog bred for money and looks. I do not have genetic defects in my dogs but show people sure do. I raise pure bred border collies as well they look good and are tested at home and the trail feild, I do not show and actually over here if your bordercollie wins a kennel club show his papers are removed. You I am afraid are very uned
  20. Not yet but it been touch and go a few times. I do not like jealose husbands and they do not really like me. Any way do not worry dogs will be dogs nuts or not. The instinct is still there he just does not have the proper tools. You should count your viagra and see if the bugger stole any. Or lock them out of the room when you and you other half have alone time. Some dogs learn buy watching.
  21. It took me along time to learn not to try hump any female in site, cannot se your dog being any different
  22. That is a good looking pup and his father and uncle are outstanding credit to the breeder.
  23. Why even test a bad minded dog let alone train it or breed from it. It your emotional attachment worth more than a childs face or hand. Is it cool to have a dog going bezerk at the end of a chain. These are hunting dogs not gaurd dogs. You cannot have both. Let ytour dog loose on someones place and it bites there kid for playing in the trees. Or a timid scared dog havein a nip when the nieghbor is petting it through the fence. Any dog with personality issues should be put down, not rehomed and retraining is B.S. Do not breed culls or make excusses (spelling) for any dogs inadiquassy a cull is
