  1. i personally have always vacc my pups and have raised more then a few litters and kept several to death and as a point have always vaccinated all my dogs in the spring and fall. and they get rabies as required.the reason i do is i have never had a bad experience with them if i had i would surely give it thought. i use a five way shat on all my pups and a seven way on the adults i also worm them regularly. i've only ever had two dogs die of any of these causes . one was a 4 month old pup i had bought years ago that died of parvo wether it had been vacinated or not i don't recall. so it can't be
  2. Don't you have telephones where you are Pegleg.. ...Directory Enquiries or Google! Have you been to the vet yet L'boy? ignorant question i'm on the net . i damn sure wouldn't trade places with you ! i get to hunt to my hearts content and keep my dogs busy doing what they are breed for not just talk about it .
  3. HOW WOULD HE CONTACT THE PDSA NEAREST HIM ?
  4. do you usually use a flood beam or a spot beam a spot beam usually seems to hold them better to me that is
  5. yeah we get to vote for a president but looking at the canadites who the hell wants to be blamed for whoever gets elected . sure wish we had a real selection instead of horroble and worse.uh?
  6. e collars are well worth thinvestment and work well as long as they are used appropriatly if left on the dog check for sores under prongs i've used alot of models innotech is one of the best but for short range a les expensive model could be used as well just rember to think and plan before using it and be consistent it's a tool not a dog programmer i've seen great dogs ruined by ignorant use of these collars. make sure your dog has a idea of what he's doing wrong first. we use them extensively on our big game hounds and hounds usually arn't as sensitive but can still be ruined. good luck the
  7. HOW MUCH DOES A LIGHT COST IN THE UK ? A 12HOUR LIGHT WEIGHING 5 POUNDS MAX IS ABOUT $60 US NOT AGAINST DOING IT YOURSELF BUT PACKING A CAR BATTERY? HOW MUCH TRAVELLING DO YOU GENERALY DO?
  8. ANY WOUND CAN BE STAPLED IT MIGHT REQUIRE A LITTLE FINESSE BUT IT CAN BE DONE .IF THE EDGES ARE DRIED A "LIGHT" BRUSHING WILL OPEN THEM BACK UP A WOUND ON THE NECK IS ACTUALLY MORE IN NEED OF BEING CLOSED BECAUSE OF THE MOVEMENT . AS FAR AS THE TIME PERIOD THAT IS A CASE BY CASE STUDY. BUT IF THE SKIN HASN'T ANCHORED TO THE FLESH YET IT'S PROBABLY OK TO STICH. LEAVE A SMALL AREA OPEN FOR DRAINAGE THE LOWEST POTION. STAPLES ARE ALLSO SO MUCH EASIER TO APPLY THEN STICHES LESS LIKELY TO PULL THROUGH. MOST DOGS TOLLERATE THE STAPLING FARELY WELL. I DON'T KNOW YOUR DOGS PERSONALITY SO CAN'T SAY 10
  9. DO YOU FEEL THAT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BREED A RESTRICTED GENE POOL AND GET QUALITY DOGS? JUST WONDERING BECAUSE THE BREEDERS HERE THAT HAVE HAD A PROVEN WORKING STRAIN SELDOM GO TO OUT SIDE BLOOD AND WHEN THEY DO IT IS PROBABLY CLOSELY RELATED OR VERY SIMILIAR. THESE SAME BREEDERS ARE ALLSO VERY PROTECTIVE OF THEIR BLOOD LINES . IS THE HYBRID VIGOR THAT IMPORTANT IN LURCHERS OR IS IT JUST A CONTINUAL QWEST FOR PERFECTION?

  11. Fecking dam right. THANKS NICE TO KNOW NOT EVERYONE'S A IDIOT WITH A AGENDA
  12. YOU KNOW THE NEGATIVE RESPONSE TO THE QUESTION IS REALLY SURPRISING. TRUTHFULLY ANYONE OWNING A PET OR WORKING ANIMAL SHOULD KNOW BASIC ANIMAL FIRST AID. AND WORKING DOG OWNERS SHOULD TAKE IT A STEP MORE MY BEING PREPARED WITH A FIST AID KIT ON HAND AT ALL TIMES. I PERSONALY HUNT IN THE WESTERN US AND A TRIP TO A VET CAN LITTERALY BE IMPOSSIBLE. DUE TO TERRAIN , DISTANCE ,WEATHER OR ANY NUMBER OF VERY REAL OBSTACLES INCLUDING TIME. A DOG CAN BE TORN FROM GAME ,BRANCHES OR FENCING AND AS FOR "A REAL DOG MAN" I FEEL IT'S YOUR DUTY TO BE ABLE TO RENDER PROPER FIRST AID AND STAPLING IF REQUIRED .
  13. CLEAN WITH MILD ANTISEPTIC SHAVE ALL HAIR OF CAREFULLY RINSE REMOVE FORIEGN BODYS CHECK DEPTH THEN STAPLE OR STICH GIVE ANTIBIOTIC AS CALLED FOR . TRIM BACK TOENAILS AND MAYBE WRAP IF SCRATCHING IS A PROBLEM. LIGHTLY COVER WOUND WITH A RECOMMENDED LIQUID PROTECTANT. AND WATCH FOR ANY CHANGE IN COLOR OR CONDITION IE SMELLS LEAKAGE . TRY NEW VET NEXT TIME AND HAUL DOG IN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER INCEDENT. LEAVE COLLAR OF FOR AWHILE SO IT DOESN'T GET FOULED UP AND HARBOR BACTERIA.
  14. the reason it's not considered the best dog food is simple because of the high incedence of worm infestation and other disease agents that are transferable. freezing and cooking at the proper temps and periods will cover these issues. the loose stools is common because of the high protein and fat. most dogs are acustomed to a mill made diet that is made with grains and their additional fiber is just apart of it. this fiber causes larger more uniform stools. also the fat content in wild pigs is generaly much lower then that of domestic animals. the parasite load can also be much higher in wild
  15. I WAS WONDERING WHAT IS YOUR PERSONAL PREFERENCE IN DOGS NOT JUST BREEDING BUT USE AND TYPE SUCH AS WHAT IF ANYTHING DO YOU EXPECT FROM YOUR DOG AT HOME AND WHAT BEHAVIOR IS UNACCEPTABLE . WHAT BUILD IS BETTER OR WORSE AND HOW MUCH WORK DO YOU EXPEXT FROM YOUR DOG AND DOES THIS CHANGE WITH BREED WHATS THE IDEAL FOR EACH GAME OR IS A ALL PURPOSE DOG BETTER?
