  1. We have just come back from a wet week in Pembroke with the kids, but it wasnt all bad and we had a couple of nice days out on the beach and walking. First time for me, down there, and it was stunning in places. I likened it very much to the cornish landscape and coast. I took the opportunity to get out with a new panasonic compact, rather than my Nikon slr, and I was quite impressed with the results for a small camera. (no where near as good as an slr of course) None of the pics have been cropped, but they have been re sized for ease of putting them on here. The 3rd one of the bea
  2. Mine must be different then because we can't keep them in! They are always down the woods or in the clough trying to catch the squirrels or catapult the ducks! Maybe its me though, doing their heads in! Lol.
  3. It's great for them! Not many don't like it, once they have had their first catch.
  4. SWT..... snakes with tits.
  5. How many vehicles let you sound the horn without the keys being in the ignition? Judging by the amount of kids you see in supermarket car parks, messing about with the horn, while mum and dad are shopping, quite a few I would say!
  6. Long live the queen. The best ambassador this Christian country has.
  7. I had to beat paulus to this one with a picture off google Pram.bmp
  8. Ey up.......silly season is here again :D
  9. The country would be one mad place without them though, because some mad pricks would shoot and hunt everything to extinction
  10. Thats cos you can't train deer to hunt rats and rabbits :D
  11. Yes off course. I was at a conference where Meggitt, a company who specialise in building ranges for the military, gave a presentation on hardox, and other metals used in shoot houses. The suprising thing with the 5.56 rounds, was that the old military ball rounds, caused more damage to the hardox, than the current SS109 with steel penetrator. Similarly and suprisingly, the 5.56 caused more damage than the 7.62.
  12. Where would be a good spot to try from the rocks for Mackerel, on that bit of coast Malt. Thanks Giltar point down the road from Tenby, the pier & by the old lifeboat slip in Tenby, saundersfoot harbour.. Cheers Malt, kids cant wait.
  13. Where would be a good spot to try from the rocks for Mackerel, on that bit of coast Malt. Thanks
  14. The best one is the dog towards the rabbit! Nice pics:)
  15. Not really used it for low light too much, but if filming hares before sunrise it handles it ok, although as with any digital camera, the lower the light levels the quality drops a little. Moving animals are no problem, and if you look at one of my ferreting vids, the one in October I think, you will see footage of rabbits running full pelt into longnets. Hope this helps.
  16. I use a Panasonic SD 90, HD, video camera, and among other things I use it to record ferreting and shooting. Straight onto an HD tv the quality is awesome, although it loses a little when transferred to YouTube, if that's what you want to do. It's a full HD camera. Hope this helps.
  17. .223 Soft points on double glazing are interesting! They start to break up on the first pane, completely break up on the second and only fragments hit the Target behind. Mind you, it shouldn't be suprising when glass is harder than normal steel.
  18. Bet the one on the edge caused a great riccochet!
  19. A lot of gamebirds saved there. Well done. Hope you get the rest of the gang.
  20. Clever animals mate, but then again I've seen foxes do similar!
  21. I have also had many a time on the moor, when I have sat down for 10-15 minutes or so, and when I have stood up to walk off, a hare has done one, from right near me. Amazing animals.
  22. It may be possible to domesticate one, based on the fact that the french sometimes domesticate weasels! Actually doing it must be incredibly difficult
  23. I do believe it mate, in my experience Scottish folk only come in two colours - Pale White & bright Red! Dont forget the ginga's, or as they may prefer strawberry blondes. They are the ones who usually end up bright red
  24. That must be because they all have fuzzy eyes down your way!! :D
