  2. Rice all the way mate, but put a plastic bag line in the bag first, and then pour in the rice. Just to stop the rice turning into gue when it gets wet. The advantage with rice, is that it is lighter than sand, is nicely solid but also flexible to bed the rifle in................and if you get hungry you can eat it! I suppose grain would also be good, as it is similar to rice, and if you use barley then you could make a nice malt if you get thirsty
  3. Are they of any use???? How many.... honestly..... wouldn't call them when your house gets screwed, your car gets knicked, your quad gets knicked, your guns or dogs get stolen?? Yea I know thats just for the insurance
  4. Always amazes me, how well old castles were built considering they weren't made from moulded housebricks.
  5. take your umbrella much the same as here then lol its has a habbit of forgetting to stop once it starts It only rained once for us last week when we were there. It started on Monday and was still Going strong on Friday when we left:)
  6. No unfortunatly we didnt get any fishing done for various reasons, but we saw plenty of young lads and dads in tenby with strings of mackeral, so there must be plenty about.
  7. Great pics Malt. We had a good time by the way down your neck of the woods, taking the kids on Amroth beach on Thursday, in the p*ssing rain, we to had a good look at the geology of that beach. The cliffs there are quite something, and we weren't sure whether fossils could be found, with all the different layers of rock etc. Barrafundle was another great beach and we actually had some good weather. One interesting thing we had on Amroth beach, was a seagull with an obvious broken wing hopping about at the base of the cliffs, and a couple of peregrines circling and screaching overhead. We
  8. What will mess your mil dot calculations, is changing your magnification, on a second focal plain scope. It still shouldnt alter your zero, but it will alter hold overs/unders etc. If that makes sense? You may be confused with magnification adjustments, and objective adjustments.
  9. If it did, what would be the point of having a variable magnification scope, that changed its expected POI, every time you adjusted the focus.
  10. Who wants to shoot with an out of focus scope though. It shouldnt affect the zero that much if at all at the ranges you are talking about. The alternative, if you are not using it for rangefinding, is use a non adjustable objective scope. I suppose the best thing to do though, is focus the scope at all the different distances you are likely to shoot at, and see what difference it makes to your expected poi. Hope this helps.
  11. Rob. The AO purely and simply focuses the objective lens, which then in theory gets rid of a lot of paralax issues. On quality scopes this is quite range accurate As against the ocular diopter adjustment which focuses the reticle, and which once set shouldnt need adjusting again.
  12. Irelands call ?......they should have called it " we all f****d off cause our taters went rotten" ya f*****g halfwit! Thats not quite true Wilf................they just planted them upside down
  13. I remember a few years ago, a load of glaswegian football supporters came down to manchester for some big game, cant remember what now but manchester got smashed to bits that night. On the morning of the game, ITV breakfast show went around the local parks that had been turned into campsites for the jocks and they interviewed many of the camping fans at like 6 and 7 in the morning. How many of those fans when asked what they where having for breakfast replied, crisps and beer! :D :D Frickin pissheads!
  14. I am guessing you have just started. Rabbits will sometimes hold fast in the hole when they have turned around at the entrance, and when you try to pull them out, they block them selves in because the body bends in the hole, i.e. becomes bigger in size because they are almost folded. If it was in a net properly it can be because it has gone back down, and gone around a corner, again you are pulling it out at an unusual angle, which can be harder. The rabbit will squeel either in pain, in fear, or because it is a kit. Gently pull the ferret off the rabbit to release it, by slowl

  23. The French one is great, (I hate to say!) Although waltzing Matilda is not a national anthem, it is bloody quite good when sung by a load of pattriotic Aussie sheep sh***ers!
