  1. Mine is made from a piece of rebar that I cut off and got a mate to weld another piece of it on as the handle. The next one I get made will have a small ball bearing welded on the end as well, to assist feeling when it breaks through into the tunnel. Go to the right places and rebar can be picked up for free, as off cuts.
  2. It looks like a little green shore crab on my phone. No doubt it will be seagull or fish food before long.
  3. can't tell on my phone but has that got a fly or daddy long legs wrapped up.
  4. Bet they all enjoyed it! Our local river was crawling with kids worming on their last day aswell!
  5. The fly is what I usually use, upstream dry, or nymph, but the himalayan balsam and knotweed has put a stop to that except for the places where it is shallow enough for waders. I only use a little 6ft fly rod, and there are still places where it is not to bad. For a large stretch of the river, at least one bank is man made, as a result of all the old cotton mills and other industry that has long gone, so is quite deep in places. The spinner is more for a quick 10 minutes on the way home from work, or when I am with the kids! How much do you pay to fish that stream if you don't mind
  6. Great structure, and quite a bit of work gone into that, well done.
  7. Roll bars, off road tyres, and a rifle rack and it will be fine  You already have the game carrier fitted on the front

Go on then....are you going to keep us in suspense?.........Why?
  11. Looks great, better than the one I have, as it looks like with yours the poles stack.
  12. Went out on our little river yesterday, only had the one, as they were going mad for the fly, but made a clip of it if you are interested. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qRTDRc_VYo
  13. Years ago I had been fly fishing on the Queed Mother reservoir in Berkshire, and the Balliff was telling me that a customer had been reeling in a stockie, when one of the big trout that used to live in there, (and there were shoals of monster trout in there) took the stockie and both fish were landed! Dont know how much truth is in it, but its possible I suppose if it managed to get itself hooked somehow.
  14. Spent an hour or so fishing with my lad down on the local river, and for about an hour, there was a massive hatch of these little things, that the trout were going absolutly mad for. My lad had a trout on the spinner and I had a couple of small trout on the fly. I just didnt take the right fly with me or I would have had a bucketfull
  15. In fact it reminded me of a little poem we used to know as kids: The cuckoo comes in April, Sings a song in May, Sings another song in June, ....and then he flys away! I too, always thought they were gone by now! Live and learn..... thanks!
  16. They are that good it has taken me a week to tell you. Belting images
  17. If they have honestly just found it in the attic, then tell them to declare it straight away. I.e if it was a previous owners, or deceased relative etc. There is no problem then with it being registered and kept by a sec 2 cert holder. Get it done though!
  18. You can still stalk rabbits at 30 yards with a rimfire you know
