  1. I have had a couple of pairs now and always buy them as seconds from John Norris at about half price. Usually just the hunter labels are slightly wonky. Great wellies and plenty of room.
  2. I have a p7 on my .22. Good for 100-130m although they claim 200
  3. Thanks daz. Had hands on a brand new Bushnell tactical the other day, could have had it for roughly half price, but don't have the reddies!
  4. I have read mixed reviews on the Barska daz, in terms of build quality, are you happy with yours? On spec they look reasonable scopes.
  5. Are they suitable for rimmy/CF aswell Adam, or are they designed for air rifle? If it is a ffp scope, there should be no reason it won't be true at all magnifications, as the reticle and image get magnified together. Yeah they are perfectly fine for Rimfire / Centre Fire, I would even say they are a bit OTT for Air Rifles perhaps a 4-16x44 would be better for air rifles Once my mounts come through the post ill be testing it on my rimmy more, was a little awkward before as I didnt have enough eye relief with the standard mounts ontop of the split CZ rail. Yeah thats what i wa

  7. For hold offs ffp scopes are better as the reticle stays constant in relationship to the image at all magnifications. Not sure what air rifle scopes are ffp, but there maybe some. Again with a moving target, your leads remain the same, no matter on what magnification. I only have experience of rifle scopes at top end of market with ffp reticle.
  8. Yep AK47s, AR15, sub guns such as ingrams and Uzi etc............all illegally held!!!!!
  9. M1 7.62 carbine and ak 47 copy, again 7.62. You maybe to young to remember but in those days you could posses them. Hungerford was the start of the ban!
  10. Semi auto assault rifles at Hungerford, and I think at least a .22 rifle in Cumbria. I think Dunblane was pistols
  11. cheers tegater have you been getting out with the ferrets much this season. atb Only little bits this year where the bunnies have been causing damage. Trying to build stock up in other areas, and we have been hit by a bit of myxy as well.
  12. Nice pics and write up as usual simon
  13. I was under the impression they wouldn't, but that is obviously wrong. Thanks willum
  14. As far as I know, mk1 collars will not work with mk3 box. Or, vice versa.
  15. why like this, this time of the ye@r? cheers Not sure what you are asking me, but I think it is why a more interesting time at this time in the year.? Because as I said, foxes here are seen at different times of the day now, and more frequently at different times of the day, than other times of the year. On many occasions over the years foxes have appeared in the most unlikely circumstances, and they seem more oblivious at times. I am guessing because of hormones and hunger dependant on weather conditions.
  16. This time of year we shoot foxes at all times of the day and night. They are paired / pairing up and quite different in their habits from other times of the year. They Will just as easily be seen crossing the road in front of you at 9 in the morning as being out after dusk at 6pm or later on in the evening. One of the more interesting times of the year for foxing

  18. A true Christmas good spirit experience. Well done.
  19. Same reason I always use 100. Adjusting takes out the guesswork and all adjustments are one way. It does depend on use though and reds on the open hill, I accept you can get away with a longer zero range.
  20. That's good advice. My rifle stays on my shoulder if sneaking about, or lay next to me if in an ambush spot. The binos stay in my hand until I need the rifle. Like many on here, having spent days in an ambush position you can use a good set of binos all day long without eye strain and they give you a much wider field of view. They can even be set up on a small tripod and set solid, allowing every bit of movement in view to be picked up on....the thing that will give you the edge! The telescopic sight only gets used at the last moment, but.......that still needs to be good as well.
