  5. was it a 5 year old hen? No buddy its last yrs suposed to be a cock but we recon its a hen. well thats why it was 15 pound and not more. hens do make good mothers though Yes thats the only reason i brought it hopefully it will go broody and il put some fertile eggs under.
  6. As they grow older they moult out lighter and useally gtet a mask you wont get a black ferret if you do it wont be 100% pure ferret.

  18. A friend of mine lost some jills last year due to them being left. I keep a hob thats been vasectomised most good ferreters have one and are willing to let others use it. There are a few good vets that will charge about £3 for a hormone injection per ferret. It can be a good investment to get a jill spayed aswell. They are at a high risk of infection they dont ALWAYS die but in my opinion its not worth the risk she will loose weight and can become aneimic. Do right by your ferrets as best you can in this day and age theres no excuse howether its not a good idea churning out loads of kits

  22. John, If they come in season again you can bring them to my vasectomised hob hes shagged about 12 now with no unwanted kits im just the other side of Milton keyenes. As for the vets get on to them tomorrow and try to eigher get it done again for nothing or get the £ back.
  23. Depends on you jill ferret i sex them at one or 2 weeks some jills are ok with you being near the kits others anrnt. I myself wean them for a week when 7 weeks old to make sure all is well rehome them from 8 weeks.

  25. News to me, my old man brought a few ferret boxes off him with no probs wont be again.
