    There's a difference in constantly interfering and looking out for them, especially when they are still a child...My girls growing up fast, I know that I'm not stupid, but at 15 she is still a child, and my responsbility, I've told her to stay a child as long as she can, because your a long time an adult... I don't want her out roaming the streets all night ( as some of her friends do), I wont let her and her boyfriend up in her room together ( I was 15 and to me that would of been green light)....     All parenting is tricky and there's no right or wrong IMO... With my girl now 15, I admit I am too protective, although I know she needs her freedom more and it's slowly being given.. She's seeing a lad at school, and he's been round a few times, good manners and helps out when around, the little ones think he's great... Me I'm not sure, to nice IMO.. Is it a front?... Time will tell, I'm friendly but agree with socks, I won't be his best mate

    Cheers all, Sirius, the hedges recently have been kind to us, with some decent bags.. Saturday was great cause it was a decent bag but we only done a bit of netting, we obviously missed a few like this, but that added to the fun and piss taking lol

    well done to the lad and his dad... I dont think TC meant any disrespect to either of them, but the fishery itself.... as much as I hate them I started my lad off on the stocked puddles, they've got to learn, this season he was on the river and a days wrecking... those early days cathing little roach and rudd are what got him hooked, so I suppose everything has its use

    had 31 on saturday and not 1 carrying... 33 the week before and quite a few were.... it's no where near cold enough though, ferreting in a t shirt, no wonder the rabbits are hard at it..

I think the cold snaps coming though, Still got a fair few bits to do so we'll have to keep going for a month or 2 yet

    Good shots, What camera you using kev? SeanC off here takes all the photos mate, it's his job and he's got some kit.... Some days it's like ferreting with David Attenborough, he's made some great videos too, using cameras in the hedge etc.

    We had been looking forward to this one, it was the first time on Sam's new bit and promised to be a good one,all the signs were promising it was a fair walk to the first hedge but once there the dogs marked and the hedge was pickled with holes... Well after the last few weeks of having to clear a bit using the long nets it was nice to have the runners out with us and only using stop nets and a few pokes, the long nets were only ran along the top and bottom to stop any rabbits going back or through gates etc.... the rest was open for the dogs to work, I've got to be honest I love this way of
