  1. very interesting read mobsey. it got me thinkin tho, instead of breeding to untested lines of borders when things are goin down hill. would this not be the right time to add a touch of bull blood into your line of terriers ?
  2. nice 1 lads. she sounds like a plessure to own bulljack. ive a 9 month male and i dont think hes gonna give me such an easy life unfortunatly. hes grand with other dogs when theres nothing happening around him but if something gets his blood up, he turns explosive and then hes not real picky about what he grabs. just need to keep a good eye on him, but fingers crossed he shows hes worth the hard work.. best of luck with the up and comin litter, hope they work out for yez
  3. fair play to yez lads, good read. is the wheaten bitch steady enough with the other dogs , or do ye need to watch her when shes fired up ?
  4. can wheaten terriers(in general) be stock proofed if introduced at a young age or is that a silly question
  5. well i was about to ask a simular question about getting a paris hilton style doggy handbag for carrying mine when im out and about. glad i didnt now. but for what its worth i think we,d look just fabulous
  6. he going to bulljack and i'm taking on the wheaten x bull pup so will both still get to see how they turn out best of luck with the wheatenxbull pup lurcher330, seen the pic on other thread, a little cracker, he should add plenty drama to your life when he grows up. lol
  7. yeh, i bet he PIECED his pants when he seen that lot comin.
  8. to all the lads givin poor owl toffee a right chewing . give the lad a break. hes no different to 98percent of the world in his thinking behind breeding dogs. most of the people in the world are conditioned to think this way and dont realise the wrong that they do to working breeds when they breed for looks. an examlpe being a guy that wants a great guard and protection dog so he goes and finds the most handsome lookin german shepard he can find and assumes that because hes a g.shep he will be good at doing the job that everyone says they do, so why not get a handsome one for his money. work

  11. PEOPLE OF IRELAND ! it has come to my attention that there might be another one of irelands great tourist attractions at risk. by reading the above thread it seems there are people like ansta and maybe many others from finland that maybe interested in sampling other nations dock leafs. as we all know, ireland is rich in dock leafs and this could be the angle we need for the tourist industry to start making money again. but there is a very real threat to this, people !... "jimmys shop" and his pals are wiping their holes on them. if anybody sees jimmy or any of his pals acting suspiciously near
  12. come to think of it be carefull antsa if your ever eating dock leaves in ireland. you might get more then you bargained for if jimmys shop has been hunting the same field
  13. thats why antsa eats them. so he doesnt have to wipe his arse when he shites
  14. greens are just part of a dogs natural diet. i.e grass, leaves, and all kinds of vegitation found in the stomach and intestines of animals they would kill in the wild. maybe the feed they are on is lacking in the type of vitimans they would get from a completely natural diet, just something to look at if they are always at it. i feed green tripe as part of my dogs diet which should give them what they need in that department but they will still eat grass the odd time. dont think there is anything toxic in doc leaves in particular. wouldnt hurt to google it tho. hope this helps in some way
  15. they thought they new it all but really you know it all. well done for that. this is getting a bit petty now and i think this is were you thrive, im out of my depth to argue dogs with you, fair enuf, but im deffinitly out of my depth when it comes to this ha ha bullshit. gud luck
  16. mudd dog , for what its worth, i had no intention of playing with words to suit myself, i honestly read your post or toolk you up wrong in what you were saying
  17. well mudd dog i have to admit i do feel like a bit of a wanker, thinking i had to spell out what liam was talking about to someone that has experience in these dogs. but honestly, you did give the impression that you could not comprehend what he was saying. perhaps in high en sight you were just being childish and playing games. by the way, you should drop all this "ha ha" shit . i read your topic on the wheaten recently were you went out of your way to announce your claim to fame through starting the topic with a question you already new the ans to and when you came back with proof for the d
  18. i think an opinion should be formed from personal experience, and thats why i dont claim to have one on the trials, but then i didnt give an opinion on trial dogs , i just quoted for you what liam had said about how the dogs were tested and also i told you that its not unheard of for a game dog to push on with his front legs gone [not my opinion] this has been well documented, you said you thought that was bollix . as for the point your making on what liam said about a hard dog being too game, surley you realise that when he says hard dog he means a hard digging dog being too game for his own
  19. mudd dog , i cant pretend to have an oppinion that is worth anything on the trials dogs, i wasnt there, maybe your in these dogs as many years as liam and have the same amount of experience under your belt that you can draw your knowledge from. but as far as game dogs being too game for their own good, im not sure if that is a mistake in wording on your part. if not i think your missing the point of testing a dogs gamness and as liam said already, they tested these dogs harder on their own time then they were tested under trial rules. anyone that has an interest in game dogs in general will k
  20. i was only a twinkle in me daddies eye when these trials were goin on so il have t take your word for it pd3.
  21. appolagies, i should have said the blood might have been used as a usefull injection, rather than a base for some terriers/ lurchers
  22. im guessing that these trials played a part in providing good, hard tested blood as a base for some of the terriers and lurchers in are fields today.
  23. sorry to hear mate, at least she didnt die a from a car accident or illness. she died with the honer of doin the job she wanted to do
  24. a vetinarian told me pretty much what the dealer is saying, its the bull blood.. ive seen a handfull of staffs with this, including my own. ive seen pitbulls, lurchers and patterdales with this . the way it was explained to me was this... every dog has microscopic mites but somedogs [more commonly bull breeds] lack the immune system to fight the effects these mights have. my experience is the same as the dealers, it comes and goes with my staff, usually the back of his ears and legs go bald, i can go the vets and get a wash and it clears up quicker but it will be back eventually.
