Not only that but do folks actually breed bull crosses over there considering the chances of seeing a good bulldog these days in the UK are like finding rockin horse shit. There are good bulldogs around its just knowing where to look -

I love bulls and saluki but would never compare them. They both are as good as the hand that trains them and are both bred for different jobs! -

I think it's a cracking idea, think this is gonna be a good post, as you say will be interesting to read the views of the older members. There were some cracking dogs out there sadly gone but not forgotten but equally there are some new dogs making names for themselves. To be able to keep the sperm for A.I in years to come from dogs no longer around....surly that's gotta be a good thing.

I dont want to be rude mate, but if you profess to be a sensible hunter then perhaps you could use some of your sense to read the highlighted bit at the top of the terrier section, which explains and links all you need know re terrier work. Perhaps you should have been aware of the legislation before getting a terrier, especially if you did indeed intend to work it. best of luck with your pup, and i hope it gets the work it was bred for. I'm more than aware whom you reference was aimed at, I intend to go out and dig, but as previously said my questioning of the law doesn't make me a narc, surely a narc wouldn't question the law more preach it.. To know the law is an advantage is it not.

I hardly think understanding the law insideout constitutes being a coppers narc lol. More a sensible hunter new to this area of the sport taking in knowledge of more seasoned hunters.

As long as it's your intention to drive the hens towards a line of guns then crack on!! The law is an ass in this case. Those that suffer losses to livestock cannot protect their lambs/chickens/etc but if you run a shoot you can protect your pheasants/partridge/grouse. There is no mention of how many birds you need to put down to take advantage of the law. So buy 10 poults release them on your permission and keep your receipt. why did you buy the terrier pup is it a pet not takein the piss genuine question. To work it of course. I actually wasn't aware of the law, I hold my hands up, I did know and do know farmers that dig fox on their land though so hoping for permission there, I took on a terrier as I never really worked them apart from a bit years ago so wanted a new experience in hunting. By way of the law I'm right in a way I believe, correct me if I'm wrong.....but not all farms have game birds for shoots so does that not mean all the digs other than those are considered illegal regardless of land owners per

Well i spent the day with him, had a long walk and sussed out his recall to dam near perfect, he is still skittish around dogs but with me he seems to have settled! 15:52 pm today i recieve a phone call demanding the dog go back to the previous owners as their daughter is beside herself with worry. so he has to leave my house and go back to bradford in a housing estate not getting walked. this is my back yard pretty much! where would you rather live? lol

at the end of the day a cecent dog would fight for you or die for for. return the faver and fight for him. if the conditions are as bad as you said they where you owe him that much. Get down the vets first thing and swap those details
