What is your opinion on spaying bitches, does it affect their working temperament? I'm toying with having my bull x spayed, this is purely because I have no interest in breeding my dog or for any accidental mating to occur. I prefer to get my dogs from well bred stock from lads that have a strong line a good reputation. I personally don't want to add to the unwanted population of lurchers and certainly don't want to make a quick buck by re homing pups to any bob n Mildred. As I said though my main concern is by spaying her am I going to affect her hunting instincts through changes in hormone

It's likely to be very sore for a while, hence him keeping weight of it... If its just the nail I'd bathe it and keep it clean maybe even spray with anti bac spray. It should heal with time.

Yeah thats right though isnt it, i have already retired my terrier pup cos its the wrong colour, if i had have known i would have got a black one. but thats my point you learn so much once you become a member of THL. I take it you bought a chocolate 1 for working and didn't realise chocolate 1's are for breeding lol WHAT??? ffs this is getting complicated now, so chocolate for breeding black for working so whats my black n tan an all rounder?? im really confused white ones make great pets black n tan are show dogs

Since i joined i have met some proper morons on here, i have also met some very knowledgeable hunters too... ill be honest i thought i knew about hunting until i joined this site and i was quickly made aware my knowledge was limited...very limited.. i did think at first though that this site was full of people not prepared to hand out help and advise but to shout you down and belittle you putting you off hunting.
