    Imagine our suprise after digging three feet and pulling that out.

    Wednesday we were out again ferreting the rabbits to the shotgun.A nice day to be out a bit of a breeze but not really cold for this time of the year.The rabbit holes have been done before and we have just been trying to mop up a few stragglers we have missed.Still plenty of other places to do yet so will not get bored over the winter.We ended up with 9 rabbits and a pheasant.I think i have some of the fattest ferrets going all the rabbits they are eating.

    Had a few ticks on the ferrets for the first few times out but no fleas.I removed them with a tom o tick but each time they went out there were some more on them.I then put a few drops of frontline on each ferret between the shoulder blades and have not noticed any ticks since.

    It was another good day out with Stuart and we have certainly made a mark on the rabbits at this place this year.The farmer should notice a big difference in his wheat crop yield next year.

    Looks a good place to ferret and a good day out.

    Yes mate should keep is busy for a while, the farmer only showed us a few fields but there wasn't any other farms around for a fair few fields away so hope fully he got more for us Suprising how the land and permissions come once your known for doing a good job.

    Have been out today ferreting and got 13.Four of them had myxy the rest were nice clean rabbits.

    Went out with Stuart to ferret a hedgerow we had not had a go at this time round.It was not a very good start ton the day as it was raining but we got kitted up and got the nets on.We got seven rabbits from this hedgerow and then we moved. We did two hedgerows that were not thick and were easy to do.We had done so much of one of these hedges a few weeks ago.Got another seven from these two hedges and we must have now about cleaned them up at this place for now.Ferrets worked well and should enjoy a good sleep tonight and they earned it today.

    Pup certainly has a nose for the job.Nice photos and decent day on the rabbits.

    That is a good bag of rabbits.Your dog sounds as if it is going to be tailor made for the job.

    Every time out seem to get at least one rabbit with myxy.Seems to be more widespread this year and is on most of the farms i have been on.

    Another good day out and turned out sunny for a change.Time seems to fly by and still more ferreting to do there.Makes me sleep better after having a good day out.

    It was a good day out despite the rain showers.The rabbits were very clean never saw any fleas on them.Last year at this time you just had to look at the rabbits ears and they were covered in fleas.Still a lot of holes to ferret at this place so still plenty of rabbits to get yet.

    I have tried a few dried feeds but i find mine like Alpha Ferret Feast the best.Though now the flies are thinning out they are getting more raw meat but i still top them up with the dry food now and again.

    Obvious thing to try first is different batteries.

    It was a good day out,Started foggy but warmed up later in the morning and we had to get rid of a few layers as we were maftin.Put ferrets down one warren and a couple of minutes later a weasel shot out and straight through the long net.Not a big bag but a few less and a day out enjoying the ferreting.

    Must be nice to get a few holes as easy as that to net up.
