    what is it with Ireland,nearly all the stolen dogs on this forum are in Ireland I know some dogs are stolen in England as well but feck me, it must be and group of lads that are stealing to order surely someone has got to know who they are with the amount that go missing having said that I hope it all goes well for u and u get your dog back it must be sickning

    In all my 27 years of shooting and beating and vermin control on the same shoot with labs not terriers I have never been told to NOT BRING THE DOGS ANYMORE (in a funny yet meaninful way) two years ago all my labs were dead or retired so I go into Terriers,2 Patterdales that you know of from pervious post, both cracking little dogs and both do there jobs anyway I took them beating last weekend both had done the drive before we had started,the dog diecied that all the game we had shoot was his and wanted to kill every dog that went within 10ft of it and the bitch turned into a deaf lurcher An

    Wouldnt put a pup of 14 week old on adult rats. Not till they have got there adult teeth if the dog wants to do it them let them,mooching round the farm yard rat bolts pup see's it = 1 14wk old pup killing rat sometimes it just happens

    Im ratting all year round but mainly when the weather turns cold and they start moving into farm buildings my dogs were killing rats at 14wk old,all depends on the dog

    I was walking my 2 Patts along the river bank on leads and this 18/20yr old Chav with his status staffy was walking along the bank with it off the lead,I shouted to him can u get your dog on a lead mate while we pass and he mumbled something and the staffy came running down the bank full on towards me and my Patts,as it got close I dropped the leads as it flew into my dog,to cut a long story short 5secs later that staffy knew it had made a big mistake and so did the Chav. F##k um I did ask nicely I still see him and his dog but he keeps well out the way

    just sat here at 03:20 on the floor in front of the patio doors on facebook cos I cant sleep and the dogs have kicked off down the garden so I looked up and there it was a F##king fox looking straight at me through the patio doors so I jumped up and went to let the guys out there kennels before they woke the street up as I walked down the garden the fox was running backwards and forwards around the garden among the trees and shrubs as I have a 6ft fence around it,by the time I had turned the alarm of down the pens I could hear the fox scrambling to get over the fence,I opened the doors of t

    Been out today on my permission with the guns and beaters and I was abit embarrassed we bolted 5 foxes 3 of them in one wood and we only shot one I wasnt embarrassed because we only shot one it was because there was 5 and I cant find the earths anywhere,Ive been round every bit of the land/woods, Ive been working them for 20+yrs they are like my back garden,do you think they could be coming in from the adjoining land that I cant go on,if not where the f##k can the be holding up

    Ive got a Pat bitch when she was that age it was exactly the same,nose down and gone Iost her a couple of times,one time she was found 14 miles away I was very lucky to get her back I wont lie to you I used to give it a good ####ing and found it didnt make any difference the dog wouldn't come back for beating out of my frustration so did the opposite,the good girl reward approach It took a while but it worked she is now 16months old still gets her nose down and grafts but she will come now to my whistle,but if she see's quarry Ive got no chance,I get my fags out take a seat and wait,no point

    I dont get a lot of earth work maybe 4/5 time a season,so my dogs are used for everything,ratting- bushing - beating one of my dogs I take fishing he love's it when my alarm go off he straight out the bivvy down to the water and trys to get the carp as I net it,he dont hurt them just licks um he love's it and he's a good guard dog at night on the bankside He's also my mate
