  1. Hello Chris, Ok Rule 1 find your dominate eye, to do this line up an out stretched finger with a point about 10 feet away ,, then in turn close each eye the dom eye wont move the alinement,,,if you have a left dom eye try closing it just before you squeese one off. Rule 2 practice your gun mounting in front of a mirror, after mounting it for a while try it with BOTH eyes closed then open them youll see how far off you are, but remember its a shot gun not a rifle you dont need to be within 1/4". Rule 3 MOST IMPORTANT, dont mount the gun as soon as you see your bird,,, slow down you
  2. As Quixote rightly says the main differance is the longer shot string, pellet for pellet theres is no differance no matter what bore/guage the gun is, its killing power is set by muzzel velocity X pellet weight. Any advantage of a 20b is in its light weight and fast handling. The smaler chamber/barrel will give a rise in working pressure so powder load is reduced but keeps the same velocity due to the pressure increase,,,,,,,,,,,, try a 24g in your 20b gives much better patterns and lighter on the shoulder
  3. First use you eyes for a day or two, then once you know where they are returning to try and find the flightlines they are using. Now you want the hide as close to a flightline as possible, ( a hedge, tree, bales anything to cover your back ) i find a 1/2 roof best when seated your under the roof but when you stand to shoot your in free air.. try and position your hide and decoys so that you have the wind at your back,,,, not always poss,,, Decoys,, as many as you can carry but dead birds work best, pattern well ive tried many and as you say the U shape or soft V work well however always leav

  5. Cant help with a supplier, but have you bought a press yet if not i can full recomend the Lee Loadall, i used one for years loaded many thousands of shells, the best cases i found were Remington RXP or the Peters Blue Magic, they are an 8 point crimp and can be loaded many mant times without crimp splitting, compression formed case so a slightly reduced powder load ( save a bit of the bangy stuff) from what i remember a 1 1/8 load was pushed out the tubes at around 1120f/s they give good patterns for both game and clays, The wads i used at the time were called Plaswad but to be honest ive not
  6. Well the Squaddies have had some damed big shotguns, ,,,,, grapeshot and cannister to name but 2,,,,,,,,,,, Gawd i love that black powder and ram rod

  8. Tip 3, If you over decoys let one land then take the next bird with your choked barrel then theres lots of time for the second rising bird
  9. Hi ,, Dont worry about lead, pratice your your gun mounting, pratice infront of a mirror, keep mounting the gun till you feel happy then mount with your eyes closed, open them once mounted and youll see where your pointing. small point determin your dominant eye, easy to do stand square to a point and hold a finger out infront of you ,, aline it with both eyes open then in turn close each eye one will make the finger move the other wont the one that dont is your dominant eye. Ok Lead, Dont worry about feet and inches, start with the gun down( out of your shoulder) then using the muzzels a
