    Ferretgirl29, you say you aint in a rush for a pup, so what katchum said about waiting til spring is probably your best bet. Also the best time to have a pup about. Obviously up to you if you want to make cakes til then though lol ?. By the way, grey/collie/whippets normally make great ferreting dogs, but also good should you wish to do a little more in future ?

    I know more than a few people that have had dogs from there since he started breeding, and a few that still do. Also know plenty of dogs bred from hancock dogs, my old dog included. A couple have been average, some very good and some superb. Regularly taking all quarry, day and night, up and down the country. Also know a couple of guys that will only have their lurchers from there ?

    Agree with that mate. And I personally know of collie/greys bred exactly as you've said, hancock bred to hancock bred, and alot of them are superb dogs, taking all quarry day and night on a very regular basis. And a couple of whippets I've owned in the past that were very good workers, their parents and granparents hadn't ever seen a rabbit, never mind chase one lol ?

    They definitely out there though, as you know. Just the fact they don't breed many litters, just as replacements etc. But with hancock, you can get one when you like
