    It's more the mental aspect of it wilf. I have a niece that plays rugby, and she's bigger, stronger and fitter than many of my friends. Doesn't mean she'd be any good in the army or police force. Like I say, I don't care if people think my views are sexist or whatever.

    Lol it's hard predicting these things, especially with smaller types on both sides of breeding. My old bitch, a fraction under 29", sire 25" 1st x collie/grey, dam 26.5" 1st x deer/grey. Bitch was 16" when I picked her up at 10 weeks and 2 days. I'll say 25" ?

    Over a few weeks he probably got a fair bit fitter. Cycling in the valleys aint for the faint hearted, some of those streets are near vertical ?

    Thought it might've been the extra 'camouflage' the coat attracts lol ?. Also, and I don't want to incur beddy x owners wrath here, but personally I've only ever seen two beddy x's with a broken/rough coat that I would class as properly 'functionable'. All the other ones I've seen have had terrible thin useless coats, that easily let in wet, even though they were rough/broken

    Blacky, how did he know the best working ones of em were smooth coated, did he keep all the pups he bred, and work them all enough to determine which ones were the best? Not calling you a fibber like, just being curious and a tad contentious, if you like ??
