  1. Toasted brown bread, topped with sliced banana, a drizzle of honey over it, and a sprinkle of chopped fresh mint over it. Beautiful ?
  2. We're having goose again this year. Last one we had was 5 years ago. At the time, our now 15 year old lad was 10. I put the goose in the oven to slow 'ish' cook for a few hours, at 9 pm. The mrs went to bed early, 9.30 ish, so I think 'I'll have a couple of festive glasses of red wine". Son gets up to go to the toilet about 10.30, and sees me with a glass of wine, watching tv. After a while I go check see how the goose is coming along, only to find the oven turned off, and the goose cold and very uncooked!! Puzzled, I sort it out and put the goose back on to cook, ad
  3. Oh well, can only say when offal is cooked correctly, it's delicious. And some of the older ways of cooking it, aren't the best. ?
  4. Hey, Gooey, who was the big judo guy that Royce gracie beat in about 1995? I borrowed the tape off a fella I used to work with. Gracie snapped the guy's arm in the final. Gracie was 13 stone, the judo guy 20 stone.
  5. You're starting to sound a tad strange, mucka. There's f**k all wrong with liver. You probably been cooking that wrong, as well as drinking your ACV wrong. Oh yeah, LOL ??
  6. But you said it in your earlier post, about the 1st cross you seen, short coupled, bad natured etc, colouring your judgement of the type. I can assure you, there were plenty of 1st cross deer/greys that regularly caught hare, fox, deer and rabbits, regularly, and run on varying types of ground without injury. Ones I seen anyway, especially as lampers. And some of them killing foxes in a matter of seconds. Don't know how robust etc, they'd be these days though. But there are people on here that would know more than me. Charts, grompz and a couple of others, seem more tha
  7. Wow ? No need for all that carry on, stiff. I just remembered you saying you'd never seen a good deer/grey. Lol ?
  8. I find it great, just sitting in a cafe with a cup of tea sometimes, this time of year, watching people bustling about, panicking, stressing about what they've bought, who they've forgot to buy for etc etc lol. I get a smug, warm, glowy feeling, knowing that I've had it all in order before october!! ?
  9. Well I wish it could be Christmas every day ay ayyy!!
  10. Covid toe/toes. A k a CHILBLAINS. Been around since people have had toes!! ?
  11. You have the green frogspawn with it? ? ............. ??
  12. Ah, I might try it one day then lol ?
  13. The pie and mash wouldn't be a problem. But that liquor made from boiled eel water!! Nah lol ?
  14. The pixies - monkey gone to heaven. I'm halfway there, ....... please DANIEL CAIN ?
  15. When I used to 'scour' the countryside years ago, Gooey, it'd be deer first, then hares. Rabbits have never really interested me. Sorry, Gooey, I sort of misread your post. No, never have been many rabbits, or anything really, apart from loads of foxes, around the areas I lived. Hence the scouring and travelling around. ?
  16. Hmm ? Yep, OK lol ? Anyway, these days give me a WHIPPET every time!! ??
  17. Yep, they are, as a rule, pretty laid back. But in years gone by, I could've shown you a few deer/greys that were very prey driven on the day or night, but were still laid back before we ventured out. ?
  18. I do, Gooey. But I couldn't do one justice these days. For a few reasons. ?
  19. How heavy are the deer/greys mate, they don't look too heavy?
  20. What's the smooth, black dog, mate? And don't say a 'smooth, Black dog'!! Lol
  21. We do that with one of our local ish butchers. Go in for a few items, end up spending four or five times we intended!! Lol ?
