  1. 222 very light and easy for walking, ammo is cheap, you will pick up a good 2nd hand brno cz for around £250, you can tell how old they are as all cz rifles have year of manufacture stamped on barrel.
  2. look at your fac, it will most likely tell you its OK if you are shooting an animal for humane purposes, the same happened to me 2 weeks ago, Roe Doe shot her with 22lr as she had been hit by a vehicle,i then phoned local police and informed them, just in case they found her with bullet wound to the head, and assumed she had been shot illegaly, and they retrieved the bullet and traced it back to me.... THEY WERE FINE AND ARRANGED FOR IT TO BE PICKED UP THE NEXT DAY.
  3. I THINK THIS IS WHAT HE IS SAYING..... The fox is a clever animal, i found a young fox last year, i fed & trained it like a dog, it respected & acknowledged 1 word commands. pitty fox is persecuted in the uk, some times i see killing for no reason, because its just a fox ! what happens next, is polecat maybe chew him nose ? NOT SURE ABOUT THE LAST BIT...
  4. GREAT story, now that its up and working again, get out and shoot someting with it, and post the picture for us to see ATB murphymax
  5. heres a picture from a couple of years back have a look at the date on the picture, this will give you an idea when you will see them out further away from the den, the cub is about 800yds away from the den and has been above ground for at least 2 weeks if memory serves me right. will take the camera with me on Sunday night and see if i can call any into camera range, i know where a few dens are that are on ground where nobody is allowed to shoot
  6. YOUR WORDS (I reckon looking at the teeth this was one of last years vixens that the mother had let stay to help with this years young possibly? It was definitely a barren vixen.) This is the same fox you thought was this years cub , until i told you it was last years cub who had been allowed to hang around the territory and would be helping to rear this years cubs, what i didnt say was the other fox she was playing around with, would be the Mating Dog Fox to the vixen with the cubs, and he was flirting with his Daughter... DIRTY BUGGER !!! Have a look for the DEN in the direction

Dog was shot @ 186 yards and the Vixen was shot @292 yards, these ranges were verified by my range finder after walking to collect the Foxes and then ranging back to the truck, had been after these for a couple of nights needless to say there is another 4 in the area and they are very very Lamp shy. Had a call from a not so local farmer who was missing Lambs, turns out that its a few field 70 acres which backs onto moorland you know the type of area it goes on for miles, its very obvious t
