    Just noticed this question is from an idiot who doesnt hold an FAC.... you stick to plinking with your air gun, and leave the fox shooting and shot placement to the BIG boys... we can all shoot bunnies at 50 yds, try shooting at 200 yds+ then you can comment to whether my shot placement is good or bad, heres one shot at 365 yds is the shot placement upto your standards LOL.     1st picture of dog fox was shot in chest, as it was face onto me the exit wound is shown on the picture, 2nd picture all were shot in the head vixen was shot with a 22/250 both cubs were shot in the head with .22 lr , 3rd picture cub was shot with 22/250, all foxes were killed instantly..... IF YOU THINK MY SHOT PLACEMENT WAS SHIT ? can you please advise as to where in your expert opinion i should be placing the shot for the best KILL, as for me first and foremost i dont like to wound animals and let them have a long painfull death. CANT WAIT FOR YOUR RESPONSE TO THIS ANSWER !!!

    to answer all the IDIOTS like you here is a lesson on FOXES.... 1st it didnt move away it was on ground next to mine (i cant shoot there) a fox has no bounderies so it would have made its way onto my ground when the young pheasants were put into there pens 2nd the vixen wouldnt know what had happened to the cub i shot but its a lot brighter than you !!! she would no something was wrong that one of her cubs was missing, after calling and looking for it without any luck she would then abandon the den site and look for pastures new. 3rd if you know anything about FOXES you would have

    The Fox is very predictable it doesnt have a brain that functions like ours, it goes with instinct and behaves in the same way time and time again, it is built to survive at all costs, so when there is a threat it moves away from the threat, i didnt know for sure they would move the cubs to any one den but i had a pretty good idea that they would, foxes have more than 1 den that they use to rear cubs. and as to the question regarding the dog fox it was the father of those cubs as i have watched it bringing food back to the den, so before you go MOUTHING OFF at least know what you are talki

    Never Never shoot adult Foxes with a .22 LR, its not up to the job FULL STOP. Reason for using .22 on Fox cub is they are called into close range (25 yds) head shot and they are gone...... This causes no distress to the other cubs as there is no loud crack from the rifle, as to all the other comments regarding posting before and after pictures, this was to show the different types of fox control used to dispose of foxes cubs have no fear and will happily pose for a picture and wairt around for you to get the gun sorted ready to shoot, this wont happen with an educated adult fox. i only p

    WRONG !!! I just control foxes for a living, and my prefered way of doing this is by using a rifle. The real HEROS that kill with rifles, are our troops in other countries fighting for ARSEHOLES like you.     Have located 7 dens with cubs, on the ground i shoot over, here is one of the cubs ( adjacent to my ground), before and after This is a cub from a den not on my ground but is next door to my ground, the person doesnt sgree with shooting (an anti) so called this over to my ground and shot it with the 22 rimmy, vixen will now move the cubs, and i know where she will go, den on my side of the fence, so will deal with the adults 1st, then the other 5 cubs Dont know about the rest of you lot but all the dens i have seen have 6 or more cubs, even have 2 dens 150yds apart with cub

    its better to sit out and get the ADULTS 1st if you come across a den, then take care of the cubs as the will hang around the den, all you have done by shooting one of the cubs, is to alert the adults to a problem who will in turn move the whole family to a new den. I have 4 x dens with cubs on ground i shoot over, but will not shoot them until the adults have been dealt with 1st or i will never get them all
