  1. Used to do alot of lamping with those, with both dog and rifle when i worked on an estate. ,infact i used one just like that everysingle day, there a decent little vehichle for everyday jobs on estates.
  2. Sam, bet you there are lurcher men living near you there, lads who dont advertise the fact not like a lot of the type you mentioned, i dont know maybe its me but i love the course much more than the kill but that seems to have all changed now in the lurcher world now Too true! The blokes you are talking about are usually doing it somewhere their not meant to be. . . . they dont really live for the hunt - they live for the kill and the picture they can show their mates / post on a forum! Its really sad, they bring a bad name upon us and take too much game too loudly. And yes the
  3. They tend to go up the trees quite often when bieng hunted ive found,, Seen them up trees along rivers on the lamp aswell,, Was out lamping this time last year and seen a mink up a tree hunting a perching moorhen. ,They can hunt and cause alot of damage along rivers and brooks beacuse of there abilty to climb trees and stuff,, But its not only water ive found them by, Dogs usually travel of the water more than the females ive found.
  4. Must be pure and utter high grade you boys are smoking :drag: ,,Or your all mind bent on LSD :piggy: :tongue4:
  5. Cracking Thread this ADAMORE, thats one big mink,, Ive seen one like that on a local tributary of a local river,Probbally the same size as that one in the picture.
  6. Mine used to go mad for the. Fed them on a varied diet of rabbits,Crows,Pidgeons,Squirrels , jays ive shot or trapped when i was keepering. During the summer we would catch about ten or more magpies and crows day in larson traps.
  7. Cracking pictures ADAMORE,, Love going after the mink me.
  8. Oh Stubbs Maybe we would all like the time youve got on your hands if you want to dig a poxy hole for every poxy fox we kill,, Alot of us on here go through alot of foxes, and simply dont have the time to dig a hole for a poxy fox.
  9. Nice dogs, Like that ahletic staff,, Very nice
  10. Plenty of evedence to suggest they do exist,, But you would of thought with the ammount of Hunting packs drawing coverts and woods all over the country one or two of these beasts would of been put up by now??
  11. I would love a couple of pairs of teckels, To work grounsd above hunting up rabbits and the odd fox,, Never heard of them being earth dogs tho.
  12. Last Winter my dog had an accedent in the feild at gone 1am,, Took him to my local emergancy vets and they dealt with all in the same night. Also helps if the vets are understanding of feildsports like mine are. But it should be any vets job to see the dog however it injured itself,, The dog should come first, then questions asked later. imo
  13. What was wrong with you telling him insted of a mate?
  14. Thats half the problem the law dont even know the law, Ive had officers telling me snaring is illegal unless your a registered gamekeeper, hare coursing is still LEGAL, And one officer even said it was only illegal to kill a badger with a dog, you can legally shoot one aslong as your on your own land, Makes me laugh how people who are meant to be the law dont even know the law.
  15. In my eyes The ban will never ever be repealed and to be honest i dont really want it to either. I think if the ban does get repealed the only people thatr will benefit are organsised hunting packs , All i can see happening if the hunting ban is overturned is more laws and complications to the adverage Lurcherman or terrierman,, Or even ferreters. At the moment weve got bad press already but can still go about like there is no ban. That is my opinion on the matter. NR
  16. That brown dog is a very nice dog, Same with the other two,, But i really like that big one, credit to you.
  17. Maggy,Ive always liked that dog of yours. And that other one looks smart aswell
