  2. we used to hunt loads of mink with the terriers on the moor and somerset levels its brilliant fun but i think we got to good at it as theres not many about around our way now , shame as it was bloody good fun
  3. used properly electric collars are a brilliant bit of kit the problem lies with the idiots that get them and think its fun to zap the fck out of the dog, theres the one that need the collar not the dog

  7. the west country game fairs pretty good the dog show is a bit naff its indoors and the dogs dont like all the echos

  9. you can inject your own dog but you cant do someone elses dog the bit they will get you for is having the jab[drugs] to do it they are a licensed drug and without a licence you should not be having them

  13. dogtra are by far the best there not cheap but the best never is , i used to have Pac collars in fact i found them out in the garage at the weekend but they need new batteries in them now PAC collars are good but dogtra are the best , why dont you hire one for a month and see how you get on with it before you go buying one
  14. if you look in the shooting times there are firms there that hire them so you can try before you buy
  15. dogs can pick up parvo at anytime having a dog jabbed just increases the chances of it not getting parvo by indroducing the antibodies into the immune system from an early age , if the jabs are not stored properly they can give the dog parvo, its not the end of the world if its cared for properly dogs can overcome this horrid desease but are seldom the same again the only plus point is they will never get it twice
  16. moby i dont see why not the orthovox box works ok with a b&f collar the calabrations a bit out but when you get used to it should be no problem, but ive got nothing but praise for the orthovox box and collar, get your order in to bryan if you want santa to deliver it
  17. just let the dog get within a few yards of the sheep and zap it with the full force you will only do it 3-4 times and the dog will soon learn not to go near them , electric collars are brilliant for stock breaking i use the dogtra ones and would recomend them to anybody
  18. those brizzel boyz are a funny bunch and those that live on the A38 are well inbred aint that right R&D , iam not far away but us somerset lads are a bit special!!! i havent been out with ferrets for about 3 years now i used to do a lot of digging around bath on the duchy estates but dont get out that way to often these days
  19. ive only had good exprience with the orthovox done an 11 ft dig today with it , its fast and spot on so why fanny about buy one and have a beer or two with the money you save , i use the b&f but my mate s got the orthovox and out of the two i think i pref the orthovox id certainly buy one if i needed a new locater, top
  20. e bay mate my mate got one of there last week £175 brand new we picked it up from stroud glos and fitted it saturday morning i think its to much for the rabbit hutch he lives in it 7kw and roasts the whole house

  23. sorry gary but you are wrong if the dog is docked it has to be chipped to be legal check out the council for docked breeds website
  24. no on the left hand side of the cert the vet should have filled out and on the right hand side the implanter fills out but registering it is up to you any probs pm me
  25. if it was a badger they will dig on and put a wall of earth between them and the dog and as the dog is a bit green it proberbly didnt know any better thats why you never found the quarry, you live and learn
