  1. a wise man keeps a dog for all ocasions like moorman said but if i had to only keep one it would be a good bedlington not a kc fluffy thing - a good line bred working bedlington [ very rare these days]

  5. ditch done a thing on boosters i think its in the DOG HEALTH SECTION personally i only jab them as pups and have never had problems
  6. fair point it wasnt as big a show as it was bulled up to be but every show has to start somewhere, it was a good atmosphere and a good turn out of dogs considering ragley hall was on as well, it was nice to see so many bedlingtons even though a few were the fluffy brigade

  8. that wouldn t surprise me but the largest amount of working glens isnt that far from you at moreton in marsh, i know he did a piece for the tv about working glens and there history, i ve never seen it on the tv mined
  9. its not all about keeping the size down as differnt land require different styles but for an earth dog its got to be able to get up to its quarry, an 18inch pot belly lump is no use the same as a tiny thing with no bone structure or muscle power my ideal dog would be 14 in tts good strong head just spanable with the heart of a lion iam nearly there with Ted hes a strong dog but a little bit big in the chest but hey you can t have everything but ill keep trying because iam a tenaous barsteward, on the other side i have a patterdale bitch with a small head strong body and is to hard for her own

  11. sj good idea ill find some white board and knock one up , where do you get this to small from SJ its the way forward if the breed is to survive as a working terrier, went to hereford game fair today and put coco in [ any terrier over 12 months] and won it judge said quote -- my god a proper bedlington i havent seen one like that for years we used to have a fair few around the valleys, good to see a worker well done my lad -- said it all really
  12. when my missus is nagging [24/7] i just tell her everything gets done IN THE FULLNESS OF TIME light blue touch paper and stand back, i called in home the other day and where is she sunning herself on the patio so i crept back out again so i didnt disturb her then later when id finished work i get home to listen to how busy shes been cleaning cooking etc BOLLOCKS

PROPER working bedlingtons go for £200/250 infact Alun's got a litter on here at 175, your just one of these money making twats, I suggest you do your home !! the only problem you have got is to find PROPER WORKING BEDLINGTONS theres plenty that think they have them until you see them as for £500 is this thing gold plated with a diamond encrusted tiara

  19. you can put it on neat if its mange but for genral flea control dilute it 50/50 spray on rub in and leave , i do ours about every 6 weeks

  21. we have 18 to feed at the moment all are on BARF proper food ! total cost for the week is about £12 it does help when you do a bit of pest control for the slaughter house main diet is Ox hearts - ox cheek-pigs heads/trotters - breast of lamb and loads of bones and a bit of tripe now and then with kitchen scraps veg etc thrown in
  22. our bedlingtons are by far the calmest but when they fly there the nastyist of all our lot the lakie s are chalk and cheese the dogs as good as gold the bitches are a bit firey as are the russells the patterdales are just looking for trouble all the time but the sweetest dog is the aluant nothing fazes her she just goes with the flow!!!
