jf1970 replied to armchair _hunter's topic in Fresh & Salt Water Fishing
lol, im wearing the same clothes so it's the same fish, how can it be the same peg when it is 2 different venues, there is 2 pics of the same pike and only because 1 of them is in the water when it was being released and you can't see it properly so i put up the other pic that was taken of same fish other than that they are all different fish, and even if it was the same peg on all the pics which it isn't, so what? that lake that i fish is part of a 3 lake system and it just so happens that perticular peg can be very productive at certain times of the year, as for your pb of 50lb+ i don't thin -

if i were you roxy, i would only give her/him 1 slip a night on an easy rabbit, don't take it out every night, once or twice a week for 2-3 hrs to begin with is plenty, go out in the windiest-wettest night when the moon is low, how old is your pup? this is the way i have been doing it and it's paying of for my pup(although i have had help from my freind and his dog) and it's keeping her keen as mustard, cheers......john She,s nine months now, only taking her out lamping 3/4 hours once a week, also a bit of ferreting, you are doing well mate, keep up the good work, what x is she? -

hi roxy, i am introducing my pup to lamping at the moment, she is 7 1/2 mths old, she is watching an older and more experienced dog, only slipping her once a night on a squatter, she has been out for 2 nights and caught 1 rabbit each night, i definetely think she has learned from watching my friends whippet, when the lamp is turned on you can see she is looking down the beam even before the other dog is slipped, she does let out a yap now and again when she hears the squeel of the rabbit being caught but she hasn't yapped while chasing, when she caught her 1st rabbit with all the excitement sh -

not necesarily bud i make good quality nets from good quality twine and i only ever take £1 per net because its not expensive to buy twine and rings and such and it doesnt take long to knit a purse net but my point is my nets are no worse than anyone elses just because they are £10 for 10 and not £25 for 10 Bloody hell. It costs me £10 with postage just for the spun poly never mind the rings and cord. Get me some then for the price you get it for. I can not make them for a £ each. And they don't make themselves! it cost me £7 for twine i dont pay postage and if i sell 10 n

was out with blue one of here and his 2 dogs lamping tonight, his 2 had 9 out of 11 in really wet conditions, but the highlight of the night for me was on the way back to the van we had a look into a small field and seen a few rabbits out from the hedge, squeezing through the fence with molly my 7mth old pup, i walked her out and flicked on the lamp, rabbit was sitting about 30yrds away, keeping the lamp on the rabbit i walked molly up to within 15yrds then the rabbit started making it's way towards the hedge, with molly straining on the slip, i let her go, she ran the rabbit up to the hedge t
