No being funny but since most of my liberty's are being eroded one at a time by this great dictatorship it would be nice if I could still retain the rights to MY body (the one and only thing that I guess will be truly mine) even after death, I would much sooner opt in rather than have it forced on me.

Where were the basc at al. when the ban came in? HIDING they spineless b*****ds fed us to the wolves in the past years I've signed countless petitions for the reinstation of .22lr handguns it is a fantasy to believe it makes any difference. simple question just how many organisations do we need? in my opinion since we are part of Europe then we should adopt FACE we might just have the clout to make a difference then. -

As above cz for .22 make sure it's the 16inch barrel though anything longer will piss you off in the truck after a while as for the .243 howa or weatherby.Put sensible money into the glass though

The truth is these surveys are used as just another stick to beat keepers with even if the reintroduction went ahead and IF it failed or didn't adhere to these so called academics or experts expectations then keepers would bear the brunt of the criticism even though truth be known most conservation experts have little or no clue as to how nature truly works.I have to deal with these people on an almost weekly basis and if nature does something that isn't on there check list then they wont or cant believe it fact is they are arrogant enough to believe they can control or do better than nature i -

The uk has lost 3 types of lemming and at least 2 types of vole why not spend some time trying to reintroduce a prey animal to the environment which would benefit the predators we have rather than spend more time and money chasing the infamy of reintroducing yet another apex predator all I see here is as ever yet another vanity led study. The problem is mate the world has changed, keepers are an anachronism and it is time for us to evolve, I can reminisce and look back with rose tinted glasses but the future holds a very different life for us, Health and safety,cost saving,budgets,accounts,time and motion studies are now the norm for keepers and that is not going to change any time soon. Truth be told we need to encourage any and all investment into the industry, the"new money" brings new challenges and for shoots to survive its the keeper who has to adapt, our customers/employers have different priorities now, sport seems to -

a lot of ex keepers i know regret goint into keepering....my old head keeper did. and a fair few are bitter about it all.. I ... like many think the golden days of keepering are gone.. Truth is the halcyon days of keepering ended in the 70's as soon as commercial shooting,bag and shot expectations and the new breed of uber-rich with "new money" became the vouge then keepering and its associated pressures where set to change for the worst. -
