Wether your dog would attack a horse ISN'T th point It's knowing how th horse's might react to your dog's.And i'm sorry but a dog chasing rabbit's around a field isn't the best thing for a flight animal . Ok, maybe the bloke could of handled the situation better but try thinking what might of been if the shoe would've been on the other foot, so to speak.

Am i the only twat on here thinking this is bollocks?.Well maybe he's telling half the story, but here's where it doesn't add up for me. 1:I work and train gundogs and i'd never let one of mine chase rabbits, infact i'd try killing the b*****ds myself if they did. 2:When the f**k has a dog chasing something been in control?(except maybe a well trained running dog.......I'm yet to see one ) Plus horses are flight animals and once spooked will run on and through anything.Often injuring themselves so i'm not surprised the bloke was pissed.If one of the horses had of gone through a fence an

Where abouts in notts are you? It would be hard to tell you what to do without seeing how bad the dog is.My advice would be to go and see a pro trainer and get them to have a proper look at her. Thats the reason why i ask where abouts you are, i know of a young lady near newark and a very good spaniel trainer near doncaster

For one if your pup won't come back get after it!!!.Letting it get away with it is just comfirming it's ok to do so. The first thing i'd do is get a rabbit skin/pheasent wings and tie it/them to a dummy and work with that until your dog is retrieving 100%.Once your happy with that move onto cold game (i've forgot to say keep it all in the garden so not to add to much pressure).Once your 100% with cold game in the garden take it out somewhere new and try it.

I know she's still young.But have you got her qaurtering? if so, try working her on an embankment.Keep a few dead rabbits/birds in a game bag,Before setting her of quartering.First make sure you work with the wind in your face then.Pinch a bit of grass, spit on it and throw it to your left or right and set her away(This will help get her head down).When she's moving well bounce the game down the embankment without her seeing it as soon as she comes round and winds it she'll hunt like mad.Encourage her on, something like 'there lass'/'wheres it there' as this will help her later for blinds -
