    Been up before but anyway.... My pup, he's saluki bull whippet grey. Around 1/4 bull. Stands at 26"tts at 10 months. Had a few droppers when ferreting looking to start him properly come September. So far he's schooling very well, he's a very biddable dog and if I'm honest has been a pleasure to train. I liked the cross before I got him after seeing a few dogs run of similar breeding, adding the saluki in the mix gives that extra wind and obviously the 1/4 bull the game and drive.     I have heated insulated kennels for my team which they love. My mrs sometimes let's the whippet inside and she crys at the door wanting to be back outside. My pup has been out since 8 weeks he's now 8 month and he's the same. No complaints from him, tail never stops wagging and always nice and warm to touch when he comes out on a morning. How ever I have a staffy which is a pet he's about 5 now had him from 8 weeks and have tried on vain to get that stubborn b*****d outside but he won't have it! So he's Inside with his own big bed in the kitchen

    Don't give up on him just yet mate.. I have a whippet x bitch 19"tts little racey fast bitch. Had her out back end if last season (her 1st) thinking she would Hoover the rabbits up being so quick and nimble, to my Suprise she was getting straight lined and over shooting when turning. Many people would have wrote her off but I stuck with her gave her a few squatters, walking right on to them then slipping her. After a while the penny dropped and she now uses her gears, can turn on a six pence, retrieves live to hand and dosent miss a lot at all. It's all about building the dogs confidence up, I

    Terrier man Sam.. The merl dog is my pals he's a beauty isint he. His breeding is deer collie grey x bull grey. A very smart dog when running still only young but has proven him self well this season. Tusker, I agree with your comment, a coarse coat is a good addition to any lurcher. I always liked the idea of a bedlington bull greyhound/whippet. Still keeping the drive of the terrier with the addition of a better coat. Cheers wez

    A few recent pics of my pup 'joey' now around 8 months, measured him properly and he's standing just over 24.5" tts at the min. Had him ferreting on Sunday and he was spot on. Started watching the other dogs waiting for the bolt and by the end of the day he knew the crack, stood watching and waiting. He got his 1st rabbit and it was retrieved live to hand, over the moon. Looking forward to the future with him, cheers
