  1. My pup now 7 month 24.5" tts, saluki bull whippet x bull grey. Has been a great pup to bring on, developing both mentally & physically very quick. Seems like it was two minutes since he was this small. Have high hopes for next season 7 months
  2. What type is it pal? Have you got a pic?

  9. The big bull is my Pals (RapidJenky) off here and to be honest he is probably the best behaved bull i have seen, hes great with other dogs & stock and good with the pups. Its how hes been brought on, hes more a pet than a worker but he has and does work. He works cover, bushing etc and suprisingly catches the odd rabbit as he isint slow by any means. Although he does struggle on the turns as you would expect from a dog of this size and shape.
  10. Thanks Skycat he's a good looker, hopefully he will do the Job for me next winter! Bird - sounds a nice type, what height you hoping for him to reach? Think mine will be 24tts fully grown maybe 25" max, still got plenty of knuckle left. Getting plenty of good grub into him seems to be thriving on BARF, minced veg with wholegrain bread and rice. Will keep you posted on his progress Tom Wez
  11. Thanks mate, looking forward to next winter with him
  12. Just found out how to upload pictures so i thought i would share a few of my pup. His breeding is roughly Saluki Bull Whippet x Bull Grey pics taken around 4-5 months, standing 22-23" tts, hes now 6 months coming on well. Im taking things nice and slow with him letting him be a pup whilst getting the basics solid and forming a strong bond. For a dog with breeding you wouldnt normally associate with being the most brightest, i can safely say hes picked up everything hes been taught so far very well. Retreving dummys and skins, walking to heel and basic commands (sit, stay etc) all in pl
  13. my pup has got big strong feet, keeping his nails short and enough road work all helps them along
  14. Need to put roof on run and remove wooden shuttering next week Inside i have my workbench and game freezer within my little workshop. The dogs sleeping box is partitioned off and is insulated with 2" Kingspan and coverd with tounge and groove. I have also installed a tube heater so its warm, daft proof and keeps the damp out. 17. I've got a bull whippet grey pup on at the min and I can say that he is the most biddable, laid back, easy to train pup I've had. He came from tested parents both doing the job they were meant for. I've had him around stock with no issues, very obedient and retreving dummy's/skins fine. He isint going to be no hare dog or world beater but he will do me just fine. I think some people get the impression of all bull crosses being one job dogs, no brain or stamina. The lads I hunt with all have some percentage of bull in there dogs and they all excel at there job. That is taking the full spectrum
  18. I work offshore on a 2 on 2 off rotation, my mrs looks after my dogs for me whilst im away but she works full time also. She walks them on a morning then they are outside during the day in their kennel with bones and have full run of the garden to keep them occupied. Once she finishes they get a good run off the lead on our permission. Whilst im away she keeps them in the house over night then on the morning the cycle starts again. This changes again once im home for 2 weeks me and the dogs are out for hours during the day, in the car out mooching, visiting people and also working on the nigh
  19. For my kennels i insulated with Celotex insulaton, same as Kingspan which is 2" thick foam sheeting with a foil wrapping. I put this on the walls and roof then coverd that with tounge and groove in the sleeping area. I also installed a tube heater, got a 3 foot one 170 watt i think? for about £20 deliverd of ebay. Instead of having it on a thermostat i just use a plug in timer and will have it on for a few hours during the winter. i must say its a good piece of kit giving off a good bit of warmth and costs little to run. My whippet and bull cross pup seem to like it anyway!!
  20. your inbox is full mate can you send some pics? cheers
  21. Had one, sent it straight back, absolute shite!!! Why they changed from the 'dial dimmer' I do no know? Them button dimmer things are the worst.. Stick with an old lightforce striker variable or get a deben tracer variable
