  1. I know what your saying robyo they can throw all different ways but generally you would hope with crossing a greyhound to say a 1/2 cross bull grey you will get a 'racier' type of animal rather than say crossing a half cross to a half cross etc...
  2. She's a cracker Con, my type of bitch. How old?
  3. Obviously the main reason we add the bull blood is for the gameness, that is a certainty and the main trait we strive for in our bull lurchers. I've seen racey half crosses that can run and catch as well as 3/4 grey 1/4 bulls do what you would expect of a half cross. As long as the breedings right your on to a winner with decent blood. I just like how a 1/4 bull throws a racier type of dog that can catch and dispatch.
  4. My bull x approx 1/4 bull in his make up, he will be 2 in July so a 1st proper season for him. I personally rate the 1/4 bull x's, fast, agile and have plenty of drive, strength and determination. Easy to muscle up and get fit although mine are kept fit all year round. With a bit of saluki, collie, whippet in the mix you have potentially got a decent all rounder There is saluki whippet bull grey in his make up. Who else runs 1/4 bull blood in there dogs, lets see some pics
  5. You got the handle Brad? think i have a roof lamp with out the handle in my garage
  6. I know what you mean pal, the gain 28 is very small sized biscuits, my dogs each get a pint of gain with a pound of chicken and tripe (minced raw) mixed into it and they smash it. If I was to feed gain by its self they are picky with it to be honest so I would say yes go ahead and mix it with what ever they like as it really is a decent grub, I've never had a food which gives them such good condition, obviously exercise/work help as well but you get my drift
  7. 5/8 3/8th mate, black dog saluki bul grew. Can't wait to get home pick them up and get out on the lamp. 2 weeks offshore is no good to any man lol
  8. I found red mills to give them the shits, much prefer gain 28, each to their own... Few more pics of my racey bull x's Dog now 18 month around 12 on this pic My new bitch [url=http://s1066.photobucket.com/user/Anthony_Werrett/media/image_zps5432cd55.jpg.html]
  9. I swear by it billy as do my pals, it certainly is good grub for 'em!
  10. Cheers pal, he gets a pint of gain 28 and a pound of raw minced chicken and green tripe each evening. Oily fish and meaty bones now and again as well pal

  12. This is a long shot, at the wrong time of the year but here goes. 13. 3 mile or so mate, he just trots along side on his lead, he's out lamping 3 nights a week now and good 2-3hr mooches/bushing on the days we are not lamping. I been off work for 5 weeks so got him fit as a fiddle, back offshore for 3 weeks next week so it won't last lol
  14. Thanks mate, top pics are after couple weeks on the bike so starting to lean up. He's 26.5" tts mate
  15. Saluki Bull Grew. Just over 1/4 bull
  16. My dog fit from graft and plenty of exercise this season so far
  17. Don't normally comment but that is a very nice pup and by the looks of the sire and dam they both know their job
  18. I'm thinking about going for this cross as an addition to my pack, I have two runners already & the idea of a terrier which goes to ground or a hyper active spaniel around dosent appeal to me. A beddy whippet might be the way I will go..
  19. may look into a bushing dog in the near future, have always wonderd if any of you lads have seen or own a beddy whippet who works cover? would be a handy dog if could work the cover and maybe take the odd bunny on the bolt
  20. Mines same age mate, I've been doing the same, keen as mustard but holding him back to give him the best chance. Been lamping rabbits and ferreting since 12 months old will be putting him to the test when I'm next home with an experienced dog
  21. Nice bitch mate, done much with her?
