  3. They will find the hole if its there mate, we often drop rabbits by hedges or cover, not at the actual hole and they always find them. Maybe your best bet is finding someone with a long net to come give you a hand for a day? I'd wait a while to do that one, but would probably take an evening and go down with the air rifle or at night with the lamp and air rifle and knock over a few.
  4. What double standards? They aren't hiding the fact that the research is for the 'game industry'. So what is your point? Well one example would be that apparently we can't hunt foxes with dogs anymore because it is considered cruel...unless you are protecting game birds. I consider that to be completely mental, why isn't it OK to hunt a fox for killing chickens or lambs or for sport?   12. Mine get a wee check over most days at feeding time, thats it really at this time of year, unless kits. They get a good mess around when i clean them out. And sometimes they get random times in the garden, but really they just chill in the court at this time of year.

  14. Aye mate you got it in one. In summer rabs are everywhere seems to be filled but come winter. Theres nit even a tenth of the rabs around. This is why I don't check permission in summer any more you just end with huge disappointment come winter Bang on mate, even the back field behind my house, now had a half dozen or more rabbits playing every night, and come winter you wont see them any more, maybe the odd one. I know of a couple of places now though that are fecking rammed in wales and out.

      Aye i know what you are saying mate, but its well bred, and i didn't want a spaniel and cant have a terrier, going to ground is our greatest problem. Fingers crossed i can keep on top of it, we shall see. Cheers for the kind offer mate!

  17. Aye, last season, 2 in the afternoon, walked rund a hedge, to see maybe 50 sat staring at us by one hedge, dogs pushed them in, did half the hedge had 20 something. That place had lot of rabbits though, 20+ in a lot of the sets. But a lot of places look busy during summer, if you say the same thing in september then im intersted.

I completely agree Ian, in the sense that, he gets on my tits, as all he does all of the time is moan about food, when he has a rifle and shotgun, and needs to accept that everything you see must be though of as food. However, he has the unfortunate issue that he is trying to keep within the law and so doesnt shoot the moose or deer etc he sees, which would solve the food programme.
