Whether is was a walked up shoot or driven day the keeper or man in charge should have marched that c**t off the moor. Shows a scarey lack of restraint and common sense that you need when guns are involved. Hope your dog gets back in the saddle soon and is ok.

Frank you old dog! Here was me thinking that with you selling your .223 that would be the end of your shooting! Good stuff buddy, the 308 had done a tidy job indeed. If the shot is boiler-roomed in the right spot then i cant imagine it makes tood much difference whether you use a .243 or 30-06. The rib cage doesn't offer too much resistance and if the heavier bullets going at the right speed won't splatter the beast any worse than a smaller, quicker round. Shoulder pinning with a larger cal. tends to mince them a bit more although i've only really seen this a couple of times with Fallows s

We had an old stone potting shed with a load of wooden slatted racks in it. Apples were placed close together but NOT TOUCHING and lasted a long time (at least a few months). You'd get a few that would go bad but i was quite suprised how most of them stayed in very good condition. What's wrong with the cross hairs... has the reticule broken or has it rotated inside the tube. I'd have thought that it would be uneconomically expensive to fix the problem to be honest mate. These problems are quite common on some of the more buget scopes... especially if you are using a spring air-rifle. I'd honestly look at getting a new or good nick second hand one. Betting on the outcome of a sport always brings wankers out the woodwork who care more about the outcome that the players or animals involved. This is why coursing got a lot of bad publicity... a minority of wankers pulling gates down, threatening landowners and leaving quarry to rot in the field. Fair play ... i added far too much sugar on my last years batch and the stuff looked (and tasted) like cough mixture :sick: I'd also reccomend that you prick eack sloe with a needle before putting it i an the bottle and use the cheepest stuff you can find. I use the 'Value' shite from Tesco and just stick 1 crushed juniper berry in the bottle along with the sloes. Still tastes like shite mind (practise makes perfect) but really warms you up.

Could almost think of it as a safari although after seeing your feet you'd better stay away from the khaki shorts. Tried both... settled on a .22 with a fixed power scope. The HMR is accurate and hard hitting but the crack is a little too harsh next to a silenced .22. I also like to eat my rabbits... its all well and good head going for head shots but it doesn't mean that where the round goes everytime and it fecks em up. Don't really rate them for night shooting as far too noisy and ammo is expensive. Good on corvoids as the buggers can't jump the shot as it goes too quickly. Good luck with the application

Thats really bad news... I honestly wouldn't accept the distributers reason for not giving a full refund... especially if the manufacturer has agreed to a refund. Maybe another unit would be better. Wouldn't be suprised if it had taken a knock with all that tooing and froing! Sorry its been such a let down bud... there really are some sharks about.

Where do you get yours LY......Newavon Arms? They are a rip off in there,they nicked my brother-in-laws magazine and then tried to sell it back to him.He had a few words with them,and got it back,luckily. YOU ARE KIDDING!!! I got my cz sent down from Deaco and the feckers told me the mag had been left out of the box... they tried to sell me another one for £26 (of course i can't proove they took it)... deaco kindly sent another one down.

Hey Edgey, I've got one of these... good on the lean stuff but tried mincing some venison flank up and it struggled a bit. Haven't tried it with bones as i don't have a dog to feed.
