  1. Been having a right mare for a while with the fox's - The odd miss is acceptable and good for a bit of piss taking but after a while you can't help but feel like a liability It really doesn't help when you miss one at 60 yards and the person you're with then goes and drops it at 200 .. not to mention all the recent posts on here of lads cleaning up. After missing yet another sitter having been confident of zero it was time for a rethink. Working throught the usual drill of bedding check, barrel float, mod allighnment and all that bollocks it became glaringly obvious that the mounts were piss
  2. Good going mate... I can't hit fox's myself at the moment but its good to see others arn't so afflicted
  3. Bugger! As soon as I saw a picture of a shot Hare I thought I'd put short sighted, retarded comment on about what a waste it was. Looks like I was beaten to it Shooting anything really is a piece of piss requiring no skill what-so-ever Just point and shoot and they fall like pegs off a line. A real hunter relies on the skills of 'mans best friend'... doesn't do feck all himself mind you (save rip a gate off the hinges and threaten to burn down the landowners barns if they object to his trespass) but takes all the credit for 'training' of his single handed 110% bull X saluki X Colloe X W
  4. Apologies Darcy - Either my camera tries to be something it's not or I'm a retard on selecting the right setting - All the ones I have are shit and either blurred or too dark. I'll get some of the boiled out head up soon...
  5. I got a fair ear-ache from the Mrs over that one late to take her out... wet, dead animals hanging off anything and everything(including off the washing line)... feathers everywhere I told her it was all your fault but still think I might be grounded It was a good day out... a tad damp but all part of the game
  6. Honestly mate - I don't know what to say - 60 yards face on, off the bipod right down his throat with the .223.. It looked like his lights went straight out. Could I find him No blood, no fluff... I think one of the cows must have eaten it Have to meet up soon mate... you can show me how its done
  7. Popped over to a surprisingly sunny Wiltshire on Tuesday evening to have a look for a buck and make the most in the break in weather. It had been pissing it down all day but looked it was turning out into the perfect summers evening. I hadn’t been to this patch before but it looked full of promise with uncut wheat fringing steep scrub and wooded hillsides. The views were nothing less than stunning as the weather has cleared the air and you could see for miles… you’ll have to take my word for it as I forgot to take a picture As the air began to cool an unwelcome wind picked up and began
  8. Exactly... "all work and no play" and all that Seen a buck and doe there but he wants them left alone for his mate... I'm working on it
  9. Busy renovating the new pad at the moment which, luckily, backs onto open fields currently laid to wheat and recently cut barly. The pigeons have been murdering it but, having got permission to shoot them, haven't had the time to have a go at them - I've heard plenty of bangs from other lads who have given the a fair hammering by the sound of it. I was supposed to be doing diy all day but the Mrs announced she was nipping out (3 hours!) to get her hair cut and I saw a window of opportuning I was only nipping out for 2 hours so had not time to mess about - I left the netting & flo

  13. Fantastic result - A nice summer buck and a big old unit of a Red that was a good cull. You need some space to hang em' when they're that size
  14. Yeah right... she'd have my balls if I used that on a deer skull! Brilliant - thats where it is now... hung up well away from anything tempted to nibble at it
  15. Thanks very much guys - Any tips on how to dry the head with out drying the weight out of it... if that makes sense  I know.... for someone claiming not to be a trophy hunter I'm asking a lot of mercenary questions Only 85 days to go
  16. You have chosen... wisely Looking forward to seeing you post a pic of your first fox with no face
  17. Cheers gents Mark - CIC scores are a mystery to me... is that borderline? I’ll be sure to keep you up to date
