  1. If you use a metal detector you have the added bonus of looking for some old coin's while the ferret sleep's it's belly full of rabbit of if it kill's the bunnie down below..i like bright coloured net's by the way as i used to get sick of loosing the hemp and green ones.

  3. You might have a point there Kenny..but i find it hard to judge the size of anything held in the hand as all hand's are different length's and thickness.

I know mate that's what i was aiming for but i took my eye of it for a second to check the image on my camera..and when i looked back toward's the squirrel it had gone and i did not see which direction it went..they is quite a few around that neck of the wood's..so here's hoping i can find a one sat in a tree.

I tell the truth and say it as it is.. if my pictures are not good in my own eye's then i will say that if they are good i will say nothing.. if it make's people feel inferior well that is there problem..i have never slated your pictures and i never will i was simply having a little joke about you saying pruning in your post title and i thought you would of laughed about it..because i certainly would..
  12. Thank you for the nice comment's guy's and girl's.. .. and Long ear's my camera is a old Canon EOS 400D nothing flash realy and the len's is the canon 70 - 300 mm image stabilizer.

  16. Them coot's are pretty big mate when you have a hold of one.. they are pretty solid aswell and only 1oz or two lighter than my little Hawk...well the ones ive had are..here's a pic and i hope im not hijacking your thread..

    They may have been released by someone..i know you do get them further south though..i keep japenese quail and they are a good size and i cant see them doing good in the wild..i have had two escape.. a crow attacked one but luckely i got to it before it killed it..the 2nd one was not so lucky and a crow pecked it to death.
  20. cracking shot.. them coot are little b*****d's even more so this time of the year when they have young..i once seen a pair chase a moorhen of it's own egg's and then coot's went in and smashed all the egg's..

    I hatch a few quail on a small scale and them red water bowl's.. that is if they are water bowl's in the circle picture..would see the death of many youngster's unless mesh or pebble's where used..till 4/5 day's old..
