That wasn't how I was expecting it to look.lol..looks nice that..what she like over open ground. Does having that bit of lurcher in her keep her on the out side of cover a it whating the run more than the flush..?

Amazing how she turned out mate. Shame about her bad start but obviously you done her proud and her you..from the pic she looks like a good size and at first I thought it had some Alsatian in it due to the ears ad strong muzzle (might just be pic) either way she sounds like a handy tool to have had around .

Yes but surely just because it is written doesn't mean he was realy there.......eg I could now tell a story off a man entering my home and performing a miracle and then my family telling this story to there kids and there kids and so on and so on passing it down through family and friends and then one day a thousand years from now some one reads it........it doesn't mean it's true .

No not nessaserily a lurcher just something a bit taller.was reading a post the other day about collies been used as bushers. Anyone still using coolies for bushing or collie crosses. Saw a member put a post on her a while ago and think he had a hound cross for bushing rabbit and fox. Said they would work close in

any one working taller dogs for bushing mooching. Most bushers I've seen or read about are terrier types or spaniel cross. Anyone using a proper bitza (bit of everything). I no that a taller dog isn't going be able work tite cover like brambles but something that you could use mooching ,woodlands ,open field ,hedgerows ,moorlands ,take ferretin,use picking up and flushing to gun,.......a general mooching dog really.

A bit of a double edged sword by there, by setting the nets away from the hedge you save on cleaning, but gain the bounce offs because of the speed the rabbits are travelling at. It's just trying to find that middle ground where the net stays reasonably clean and the rabbits do tangle not bounce. TC[/quo Yes I agree if the net is too far away it does cause bouncers. I find 99% of my bouncers are when the nets are far away and the rabbits run at theme strait on how ever when they bounce they normally then run along the net and try to get out further up but then they hit the banging a

Good post tc I very rarely get crap in mine as I set my net a it away from the hedge as to let the rabbit get up speed and by the time it's hit the net its at full speed only thinking about what's behind it and not what's in front. Also when I do pick up my net I make sure it's high eunf off the floor I collect all bagging in one hand and if there are any twigs it takes seconds get them out. Some times if it's a big twig I will snap it in the net as I find it comes out in two half so easier. Leaves and grasses are left in till next time I set by then ther dry and like you say the just crumble

i bet you don't get any bouncers off your stop net with 3z lol Is your 6z 4" or 4.25" ? TC 4.25 I think. Think 4.25 is 17 mesh per rigged yard and I have 85 mesh per every 5yards for 100 % bagging
