ma springer got its first tussle with a fox last week before pushing it out to the gun. the fox was sittin very tight in some brambles. it got a bite on the face but he managed to get it out infront of the gun. my family have had spaniels for years and most of them wouldnt touch a fox. was suprised the way my springer acted to this one atb poacherman

im going to get a cocker spaniel in the next few months when i move in to my house. im realy interested in the maesydderwen cockers. ive had a cocker before sired by kingcot del and done about 8months training with it and was doing great but ended up giving it to my friend because family reasons. ended up a cracking dog. a dont think a would able to get another one because kingcot del is away to america a think. my dads got a cocker of timsgarry valtos and its doing good so am not sure what way to go. what would yous reccomend atb poacherman

what do you think would happen if you got caught in the act coursing a deer or hare with your lurcher or doing a fox with the lurchers. do you think wou would get jailed ect ect atb poacherman

last year my friend shot a hare around the start of april. gutted it and it had four young ones inside it. a total waste. the way a look at it, that could have been 5 good healthy hares for next season and where he got it there not than many hares about. if we let the qaurry breed we will get good seasons atb poacherman

a think its just the way the dogs entered. theres no point taken a 4 or 5month old dog out to try and catch quarry because its no chance. you should be out training your dog and maturing it till you think its ready and fast enough to take its qaurry. all the way through training with my lurcher there a worried constant about it opening up. imo a wouldnt have a yapper. you could go in to a park out lamping and maybe get 3 or 4 runs out the one park, if youv got a yapper your getting 1 atb poacherman

cheers bullman, not had one in a while so it came as a bit of a suprise. it was just sitting tight in the brambles. a thought the spaniel was going in for a rabbit at first. atb poacherman

went a walk out this morning with the dogs and gun. spaniel moved a fox out the brambles and my friend shot it and his lurcher retrieved it. ended up in the water. good wee morning out atb poacherman

good thread lads, keanos dog was a good fox dog, never seen undisputed dog but ma friend said it was the best fox dog hes ever seen. big somme must have took a good few aswell eh keano atb poacherman
