  1. FTB anychance of answering my question mate. you know what im talking about. because messers are just messers and its a laugh but grasses are scum. if you cant answer my question and explain yourself i have good reason to believe you are a grass
  2. nice big dog, is it doing well atb poacherman
  3. another good picture catcher atb poacherman
  4. exactly even some spaniels are too big and cant face some thick cover, so I have seen rubbish.if the gap in cover isnt big enough my spaniel will make it bigger just by charging through it.if the spaniel dont wanna go in its cos thiers feck all in there.a good working springer will tackle any cover.unstopable.they come out bleedin from thorns and dive straight back in.show me a better bushin dog and ill take me hat of to ya.dont fancy your chances though. agree with you mate, my spaniel works all day in brambles and nettles, if the brambles are tight he will just crash through them.
  5. i do both also and think the bigger test for the dog is during the day. it has to use its nose, mark burrow,s and work when the ferrets in ground to get itself in the right position for a bolt and for rabbits then a clean bolted rabbit is a harder test than a lamped one imho agree with you supersam, some of the rabbits that fly out the holes are like bullets. dog needs to be sharp to get to them. a dont think you realy need to train your lurcher if your just going to take it lamping all the time. all you need is the dog to come back in after every chase and retrieve. during the day dogs n
  6. get yoursel a cocker or a springer. there the best cover dogs out. my springer brought my lurcher on leaps and bounds by flushing rabbits and marking holes for ferreting. unless you want a wee dog that going to bark when its on rabbits or other game get yourself a terrier, but if your lurcher is tuned in enough it would need the help of the dog barking atb poacherman
  7. nice pic catcher1. did you no get good pictures of the deer down in camerons atb poacherman
  8. cracking whippet. looks in great condition. must be a monkey tho because its owner wears trainers

  10. what is it with people bringing other people down for wearing trainers while taking photos off there dog. not everybody wears wellingtons or boots day in day out. some people like to go to the gym or go out running and some people just like wearing trainers. or is there some sort of rule on the the huntinglife that your not allowed to wear trainers while taking a photo of your dog. just seen a lot of men lately getting brought down for this even tho theve proberly got wellingtons or boots in the cupboard for there hunting times atb poacher
  11. do you just go everywhere with your wellingtons on. down the gym doing squats with your wellys on lol. afore you take a photo of your dog the next time make sure you stick your tweeds on and your le chamaue wellys on mate. idiot
  12. a work both day and night. when a go out during the day i do bushing but take the ferret with me everytime a go out, when the dog marks a hole a will do it. sometimes a go places just to ferret tho. a do a bit of lamping aswell. i enjoy lamping and during the day but a prefer during the day. love watching my dogs work and bolting rabbits
  13. where i go with my dogs theres loads of fences. so i need to teach my dogs to jump, either that a would be lifting them over fences all day and they would miss a lot of game if they go through the fence into the next park and all you can do is stand and watch them. so teaching a dog to jump is a must for me atb poacherman
  14. nice fit looking dogs uve got there mate. a like the second dog atb poacherman
  15. heres mine, shes 14months old and doing good. had some problems with its jumping but that was down to a couple of bad injurys while jumping barbed wire fences but shes got her confidence back with them and jumping them well
  16. what you going on about. they run salukis in the far east on groung nearly as hard as concrete and what about the people over in america running lurchers aswell where the ground is rock solid. even when it was the winter over here people were going on about it being too frosty for there dogs and the ground being hard. a had ma dog running nearly every day in the winter because it was a pup and a was doing a lot ferreting a bushing with it to bring it on. out in the bad snow and bad frosty days and not one injury to its feet.

  22. your obv still annoyed with me with the last conversation we had jt750
  23. you could sell it to someone who has a lot of money and they end up not caring about the dog leaving it in the kennel week in week out. where as you could sell it to someone who isnt got a lot of money and cant afford the price but would put all his time in to it and love the dog. knew a man a while ago who never had a penny but had a lurcher and this lurcher was always well walked and always well fed so money goes for nothing. you would have to go out a walk with the person or go to his home and have a blether. you can work the flymen out in the first 5 mins. let the man get on with rehoming
  24. Have you just started applying the pelt?........... if so I would recon at 7 months, he finds it novel and is simply playing. You need to take it from him, and repremand when he starts to chew, before he gets into the habbit of if...... Try putting it in a pair of tights....I used to do this with spaniels to feather....just so they slowly get used to it spot on mate poacherman
