  1. a fellah from Rotherham mended mine , he made a first class job at a good price , I could not fault the man.
  2. me and my eldest have had a lot of rabbits off of this bit of land over the last week, we have shot a good number snared about forty and ferreted a good few too
  3. And nicely dressed out rabbits too, you don't see that to often these days
  4. the only kid in my class who had a bag was called Atwood, we nicked it off of him once and in it was four park drive and a clip ,two letters from the nit nurse, and a pin up picture from health and fitness magazine on which he had written :I love you Paul, from Candy: we pinned it all up on the CO-OP notice board where is dad was manager,!!!!!!! that was another belting we got the twat.
  5. I don't comment much on things other than trapping and ferreting but I think the lad who was killed in prison got his just deserts.
  6. i am a rocket scientist and my son is a brain surgeon , yesterday when we were out with the ferrets we invented this piece of high tech kit to carry rabbits with,
  7. no chance whatsoever Colin , good trap ,easy to set but the weight is the problem .
  8. i was out this morning with the ferret ,all the sets in the fields are full of water so i had to do the rough land on the farm track,i bolted a quick four then had a dig for one ,while i was digging a fox bolted into the net ,it took the net across the track then bit its way out
  9. I set a dozen traps and one snare ,I had the luck to catch four rabbits and a ferret ,I also think I had another rabbit and the tractor driver pinched it another trap had been fired and pulled from the hole. There is usually a lot of rabbits at this place but this year they are very thin on the ground.
  10. Leicestershire, someone lost it or let it go ,there are a lot of rabbits at this place but they are very hard to catch, put a ferret in a hole here and the next time you see it, it will either be flattened on the road or in one of my traps
  11. had a few traps down forrabbits this was the first client, I placed it next to a pair of rabbits for comparison
  12. well why not say a foot into the hole? and as for checking and pegging your traps correctly, well there is more than foxs and badgers that will take your catch and trap ,some people even go so far as to say that there is a man in the North East of England who will even steal them.
  13. I would not place the trap in the mouth of the hole , I like to get them back a bit as fresh sieved earth or new peat is a magnet for some types of bird also the caught rabbit is very visible at the tunnel mouth and it will not take long for both the trap and rabbit to disappear

    Crows Nest

no sticks or hitches it was done on one hand, I have done it on one finger and my thumb and its a quick method of wrapping 100 yards of line tangle free , the man how showed all those years ago used all of his hand which made a hollow ball not a hank and they called it a crows nest .If you go into a stationers and look at a ball of string that is what they ended up with .
