  1. O, and on the whole experts thing. I agree, and It's easy see that most of them are clueless. What gets me though, more than anything else is, why are the genuine lads, that seem to have some sort of brain in their heads, mixed up with these nutters, and in doing so, discredit themselves. I mean, here's one lad, saying he was out doing a bit of mooching, and saw a linx twenty yards in front of him. Couldn't believe what he's seen, but he seen it. Then he introduces his buddy, who used to work in a zoo ?. He's an expert see, and he's seen big cats on five different occasions. couple a pu
  2. I get what your saying, but there is also such thing as mistaken identity, and tricks of the mind. I have to admit, as a young lad I once thought I saw some statues move. Don't know if you recall that whole fiasco happening in Ireland, many moons ago. Some people will say to this day, that it was all real, and me, you, or the pope himself, will not change their minds. To them, it was, and still is very real. No evidence, but they saw, what they saw.
  3. Well here's the only 'real" evidence, we've seen on the subject. We've seen video's of adult human beings record footage of house cats, thinking they are mountain lions, leopards, lions, lynx etc etc. Hard to believe, but they have. We've also seen BIG CAT EXPERTS back up the footage as being legit, when it's clear to see, that there is nothing on said footage, apart from house cats. This is true. We have the CLEAR evidence of that, and nothing else.
  4. What's more frustrating, is seeing top men on the big cat scene backing up these idiots who mistake moggy's for puma's. Experts! Experts a dog shite!!
  5. That's it though lad isn't it. People imagine or presume any dogs gonna be terrified of a big cat, and run for it's life. I don't think that would be the case in the real world though.
  6. They are very elusive lad, but seemingly they turn up around pubs during daylight hours. Also, any dogs that come upon one, will always run back to his owner, and have a scared look on its face.

  8. He almost got away again, didn't he. Always good to have a mixture of different traps on the go, for the lucky/clever ones, that live to tell the tail. Pardon the pun lol
  9. Fair deuce lad. You actually have first hand experience, of actually seeing big cats in the wild. Which is a lot more than can be said for most on here, including myself.
  10. Just looking for answers mate, just like everyone else. The hard questions cannot be ignored. If we done that, we wouldn't be staying true to ourselves.
  11. Yes, for the believers, you'd have to ask yourself, why don't these experts see evidence of big cats? The whole conspiracy theories, angle shows it's ugly head to explain this away, like many other scenario's, but that just don't cut it, does it. Thoughts?
  12. With eating in mind, both grey squirrel and rabbits can be caught with traps legally. You need to research using spring traps though, before going down that road. There is a lot of legislation involved with using these. Snaring rabbits would still be the best option though, for a beginner, IMO. Checking snares is always better done at first light. Predators, especially buzzards will have them gone, before you get to them.
  13. I think the best place to start, would be learning how to snare rabbits. Either do some research on how it's done, or find someone who will bring you along, and show you the ropes. I think you need to start there, before moving on to guns etc. It's a skilled method of hunting, yes, but unlike other methods, (which involve obtaining gun licences etc, etc), you only need snares, land permission, and the know how, to get going. Rabbits make for good eating too, and in some area's, are plentiful. Also, they can be hunted all year round, so no need to wory about breaking any laws.

  18. There are so many rat and mouse trap inventions, that one guy bases a whole YouTube channel on them. Must be hundreds of different types of traps shown on his channel. Over a hundred years of inventing ways to control them, and yet, we never really got the better of these rodents.
  19. Speaking of big cats. A little off topic, but interesting all the same. Ruling out Lynx and Wolf reintroductions is only part of the answer - Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust WWW.GWCT.ORG.UK
  20. Easily sorted lad. Takes two to tango.
  21. Speaking of which, has there ever been footage captured of a big cat with cubs in tow, in the UK lads? If so, any examples doing the rounds?
  22. This is the video I believe mate. Read the description. Video's been around for some time.
  23. Well I never mentioned where it was mate. Just that it's easy see WHAT it was. I think that Lynx is well documented.
  24. Nice clear shots. No need for debate on what species that is.
  25. It looks like a vintage cap gun, but not sure. What size is it? Some of them were tiny.
