  1. Squirrel trap practically same design, but an inch or two higher. Be even interesting to hear if the squirrel one, are any good
  2. Lads, any experience with these type rat traps? Was thinking of making up a couple. Thing is, are they a good trap, or are they only good at catching a gullible trapper?
  3. It's like anything. If there is more prey and less competition, animals will thrive. Ferrals in Australia for example. Then look at the red fox. Parts of America, they are a lot smaller than fox's here, but still a red fox. DNA makeup is still the same.
  4. DNA is identifying that they are part house cat, part S Wildcat lad. A liger, is not a new species. Just a hybrid. Same with Kellas.
  5. Yea looks like some sort of pantry moth, or flour moth.
  6. But the Keller wouldn't be a new species. It would be a hybrid. Another few generations, of breeding with housecats, and the Keller will be indistinguishable from your average moggy. Regarding their adaptability. Yes, on one hand you could look at it that way. On another, you could say that the adaptability of one cat, will be downfall of another. If house cats weren't so successful, (with a lot of help from man), then the wildcat would not be in danger of disappearing forever.
  7. Wouldn't you think there would be a huge effort to keep house cats/ferals controled, to save a native species that is close to extinction. The fact that it is a predator, would normally grab the attention of the average Joe soap. If it were about reintroducing a predatory species. People would be all over it, looking for it to happen.
  8. Isn't it now believed that the Scottish wildcat is extinct? Plenty of hybrids around, but no true wildcats.
  9. Cheers, just had a look there. Impressive looking thing. Compared to Scottish wild cats. Are they on par, size wise?
  10. Yes, never thought of that, but even with that, it doesn't fit in the catagory of big cats, so can be dismissed as any sort of evidence of their existence.
  11. So the tail broke off? Tails don't break off though, do they. There's bone, cartilage, skin. It can't break off. It would have to be cut off. Ok, so what about the rosettes? Leopards have rosettes, but this doesn't. When it comes to ferrals out in the countryside. Personally, I've come across very large ones. In fact, myself and my buddy got one with the dogs one night, and it was huge. This was before mobile phones was a thing. It certainly left us with a story to bring up, anytime we bump into each other.
  12. Nice lump of a feral. Actually, very short tail, even for a house cat.
  13. Don't knock it. Shtick Fighting!!!!! Ancient Irish martial art?
  14. News just in Cornwall's big cat, giants and sea monsters that terrified families for centuries - Cornwall Live WWW.CORNWALLLIVE.COM Many extraordinary sightings have been made over the years
  15. Wouldn't it be the perfect specimen to prove they exist. We know there is no reprecussions for shooting one, and obviously there is a want to be believed and not look like a bunch of crazies. A few photo's of the carcase, in the papers, and it would be there for all to see. It makes absolutely no sense to me, to keep such difinitive proof of them being out there hidden.
  16. You've all lost the bloody plot ??
  17. Interestingly, another article about a black fox losing ist leg in a snare?, in Barry, was published two year before this. Second animal would not be tame after two years in the wild. Is someone churning out these foxes and releasing them? ?
  18. The six million dollar man
  19. A saw it. Bit of a let down. Comments were good though?
  20. Video won't play lad. Has the Government got to it?
