Bird I don't know what I was thinking to go out there without any kind of weapon, but I didn't know what dog it was until I was already outside where it smashed through the fence and pinned my dog. Honestly I should have ran back inside and got a knife and just killed it but my head was up my arse that day. I think I was very very lucky it didn't turn on me I don't think I would have won that one.

There is a third category, the rose tinted spectacle wearing eternal optimists, those people who have to believe that things will get always better...it's just feelings based on nothing, unless we have somehow transcended past the rules of history and economies this cannot be the case. The next US recession will have devastating consequences for the Eurozone members. China will also suffer but they will survive, the UK will survive because we have an independent currency. It could happen within the next couple of years and the EU has still not solved it's problems.

When u moving in That's the next bay over to us, the house is within a bird sanctuary, it is also next to the car park which gets hammered with tourists so that would be a downside, also you would get views of the two new nuclear power stations being built another negative. £250k can get you some very nice properties here especially if you go inland a bit. It wouldn't be a downside if 1 of them big outbuildings was turned into a smart cafe for all the bird twitchers.Could be a goldmine Nik. Bloody Hell that's a cracking idea

If I put a bet on with every UK forum member who said Greece, Spain, Italy, France, Greece again, Italy again, Brexit, Trump, Wilders, Le Pen (have I forgotten anyone?) was going to finish the EU I'd never have to work a day in my life again. The most effective activism, short of armed revolution, is actually turning up and casting a vote at the polls. Social media, memes, MSM, alternative media, smashing shit up, all serve as an entertainment for the most of it. The problem is the government wont do something sensible like they they'll just ban the breeds to show they're 'doing something' which is going to hurt the responsible owners who like these dogs, the idiots will just get around it by getting cross breeds or something else and the problems will still keep happening. We can hope though. I avoid other dog owners (except the ones I know are ok) like the plague I don't see how we gain anything by putting our dogs in an unpredictable situation.

I am sick of arseholes buying dogs because of some idiotic status idea and they're always sh*t dog owners without a clue. The activism that is most effective is on the internet since you can reach more people with less effort. At some point people will also have to take it on the streets which has been a very effective tactic of the left for many decades, it makes them look like they've got much bigger support for their causes than they do. You're right Scot all this division is bad for the country, the SNP are doing what the modern left always does, create a feeling of victimhood so they can divide and rule. Unfortunately they've been very effective and anyone English cannot weigh in on affairs north of the border, look at what happened when Farage went to Edinburgh, that effectively prevented any positive Brexit message being spread up there.
