Actually I think we may have power down there, would heated mats work or would it need to have an actually heater in there? It doesn't get too cold here but we've had a few frosts. Nick

Unless it is heated the first frost will see the Basil die. You would be better off taking them out of the pots trim half an inch off the roots all round the root ball and re-pot them with fresh compost in the same pots. TC Thanks TC. I'm looking forward to using these green houses next year but I've not got green fingers at all.

I wont lie...I want to see the EU burned to the ground and if I am going to be poorer as a result that is fine with me. I always said from day one that I just want my kids to grow up in a sovereign and democratic country because we're heading for full blown dictatorship at this rate....imagine if those at the top of the EU got replaced with seriously authoritarian people, there is no limit to how bad things could be in the future.

They are tyrants, they're still acting like the globalists are still in control! But you can still see the fear and concern seeping through in their faces when they get interviewed...they look worried to me. If we are to believe Trump the USA is going to change course very soon we need to be sailing in the same direction as them, away from globalisation and a return to proper trade deals that protect jobs and industry etc. It's all getting very crazy though, I don't see things going smoothly, I am convinced the EU is going to implode eventually unless they really make some changes...

Is it ok to put plants in the greenhouse at this time of the year? I've got a load of basil plants inside and I'd like to put in bigger pots as they're going to get rootbound.

I'm not against negotiating a trade deal I am against negotiating the terms of Brexit. Brexit must mean leaving the EU and everything that is associated especially EU regulation, free movement etc. I am very much in favour of working and trading with European countries and yes that requires negotiations. Why wouldn't Germany force a deal so it can continue selling to us? We are it's 3rd biggest customer for it's manufactured goods after the US and France.

There's a bit more involved than that though isn't there? The Leave Camp were not in a position to promise anything, simply campaign. The referendum question said nothing of the single market or whatever, in fact I distinctly remember the options after leaving being very hazy. Boris himself was really dodgy in answering exactly what it meant for free movement. You voted for that, not everybody and I'm certain the close result would not have gone our way had it been a clear choice of a hard Brexit or none, more people would have been scared into the status quo. There's plenty of countries without 'free trade deals', including the USA, Russia and China...that doesn't mean they can't trade with the EU. The EU has to continue to trade with us or it's will implode within 1-2 years

Nik ,have you actually seen these in real life? Bloody hideous creatures,only seen them online ,as you say usually troops in the desert ,think they can kill mice ,small lizards ! I'm not sure this is going to put everything to bed...they keep going on about negotiations and access to the single market. There shouldn't be any negotiation and we voted to leave the single market. Until we are out I'm staying skeptical

I thought the first series was good, the second OK and the rest samey rubbish. Sons of Anarchy was boring Everyone raved about Breaking bad but I couldn't get past the 1st season. I think Game of thrones was brilliant and if you haven't seen it I recommend The Wire which is one of the best TV series I've ever seen Breaking Bad was the first one i watched i thought it was good i cant be doing with sci - fi shit if it couldnt possibly happen in real life i lose interest hence why i couldnt get on with Walking Dead its a toss up between Dexter and Sopranos for my next one.The Wire
