had a good time yesterday a buck and a doe, places were heeven the temp was up to 10 above last .night but was wet still had agood night apart from one of the dogs got three stitches this mornig etc cost thirty quid with apeni injection etc not to bad a fortnight off all the best

i wished we had foxes to hunt theyre all shot with rifle men localy, the best place to get them is outskirts of edinburgh

had some fly foxes sitting on aledge dishing it out , until you get there ,dogs bit to hell ,down in the lowlands thyere mostly in amongst tre roots etc were up in the hill there a bit easier dug

some off the ole coyote hounds and the ole cunningham strain had bull and deerhound in them but of no ,great amounts, along the texas oil feilds ,going over there after the year all the best , not a cross for me localy but maybe for up the hill were they have space

ye maybe ten yards is abit much for on the beach i make mines two fathom spaces and there a kite long 220 metres the more space the more ground you cover and the fish take better .unles shoaling. my lobster pots are 15 yards between them on lines of 10 pots ,they catch well if they are to close they only catch half as much as they are terrotorail so is fish sometimes ye maybe ten yards is abit much for on the beach i make mines two fathom spaces and there a kite long 220 metres the more space the more ground you cover and the fish take better .unles shoaling. my lobster pots are 15 yards b

set the messengers every 10 yrds and anchor both ends size of hooks should be the size of amachrel feather 1 OR 2, I THINK, the snoods comeing of the main line make the 400 mmm ,use sqiud ot welks for bait or what you can dig localy youll catch if there any thing about or just get a gill net and set it for bass etc, make your long lines a hundred yards or fifty and a hook every 10 yrds

well the way i look at it ive hunted most of my walking life and fished but i wouldnt put pics up some one did years ago with me and some veni before the ban it was takeing off, i dont think there any need to put pics up of blood and guts most expierenced guys who WALK THE WALK can read a post and can relate to it ,but on the other hand im all for freedom in all walks of hunting and fishing , theres no winners here ,but use the auld heed ,and put pics up but not full of blood and guts as most guys who do do it can get it nightly . to me there no fun in seeing a half chewed animal , kill it cle

a freind from engerland had a blue pure bred whippet it was a pot licker to, dont no the breeding but he soon parted, with it, but ive saw decent whippet grews etc ,his was nesh, no buzz about it, lovely dog to look at but no determanaition etc for big hunts ets it shiverd the day we took it ferreting ,and was not much better at night , but therll be plenty not like that

set beach nets for years and from boats , to munt them i pick up three meshes and half hitch them every 6 inches or five in every twelve inches, floats every 4 foot or floating line number 1 or two lead line ,for top nets and for bottom nets no 3 or4 leadline and a blue 6or8 mll floating line or corks every 6 to 8 foot so it sinks but still fishes etc you need calm weather for best results for top nets to much motion and your net gets full of weed etc ,there maybe a book out on makeing them all the best,you are better getting taught first hand than writing silly diagrams etc thta are hard to

global warming. a long summer ,saw leverets in sep and oct this season lamped several good feilds this year,leverets ,didnt start catching hares in numbers till the end of october this season ,had agood summer at the sea because there was no rain plenty fish lying of the estuaries and lobbys as they hole up when there fresh water getting pumped out by the rivers if they get rain in july etc all the best

the night act is avery old one , you take yer chance all depends if he has previous and if he is well known localy get a good breif and play dum if it is his first offence and tell them you strayed to far etc

another thing they do localy shoot rabbits and leave them lying on the land supposdly to feed the buzzards so they dont touch there beloved phesis , to lazy to gut them and use them ,easy to pull a trigger any dum fech can do that with a lamp and leave whats lying , plus localy on the hill some bait rabbits up with pioson same with eggs theyll bait up chicken eggs and fill them up with pioson ,some local keepers have been caught and theyll get it tight ,plenty john waynes about , WHO HAVE NEVER WALKED THE WALK AND NEVER WILL haveing the over spill of edinburgh you see plenty of john wayens, n

for me my pet hate is summer time hunters and dog men rifle men , ive even heard guys say we work the dogs in summer young cubs leverets rabbits same with gun men localy if the price or roe went up they would be out poaching with high powerd rifles and on shoot day they would beat the same ground and if mentioned someone was about it would be that guy with the dogs or another guy with the gun grasssing lowlife ,anything to peee he the lairds or gamies etc thats what fechs it up here,were i am , i would rather take a guy out from miles away than some prune localy nowadays

cant see the reason to hold pups back i take them with the big dogs walks etc all the time they soon learn game trails and obstacles ,by the time there a year they no whats game etc , tyne my present dog and tess whippet grew are steady as rocks ,ive never had to do much with them, they came on naturaly and have turned out good odgs , lanas pup mhirn has turned out a little bit diff more head strong in strange company but with my own dogs not a problem shees been out from six moons and be in on all sorts ,all the best run them hard feed them right and treat them like heroes

freinds of mine shot 23 one night and got paid for it but lamped from dusk till dawn,i was out one night they got 12 not my kind of thing but well everybody to there own this fwas in wales to near carmarthen area etc they shoot hundreds a year ,etc
