  1. After a canopy for a 110 double cab, been told the 90 ones are 4 inches longer anyone know anywhere that sells them?
  2. 2 minutes from my front door, I enjoy the sporting paintings in the art gallery's too. It's worth noting for anyone planning a trip the house is not always accessible they don't always allow people in so I'd check before making the trip. In regards to treasures hidden up and down the country I once worked in a pub in knutsford that's closed down and that had all sorts of books and paintings just sitting there going to waste. Same in a small Manor House near edge hill university, real shame.
  3. I know there's a few lads on here from my way, I set myself a few pb's to beat before river season and I've managed them all so I'm after a nice tench before June 16th. Anywhere know any decent lakes would prefer to avoid park lakes and canal fished them for years. Hurlston used to be a nice tench water until they ruined it taking the lillies and stuff out. Any suggestions?
  4. I've been Piking with a mate and each had the same fish within 20 minutes of each other. Also recently I had a brown trout and a fella at the same fishery had one later that day, the fishery put both pictures on Facebook and they where the same fish
  5. I believe it is a very good sea trout fly and what it was designed for mate, unfortunately I don't know anywhere to fish for them to try it out
  6. Yeah they're about 2.5" long and they sell them in fly fisheries, I cut them down a bit too so the tail ends on line with bend of hook
  7. Here is a link to them I deleted photo bucket so unable to post a direct photo sorry https://www.fishingmegastore.com/fulling-mill-black-snake-bc-10cm-395~16209.html
  8. It is a lure some call it a leech? Body of fly tied to hook A, 2" of 20lb braid threaded through zonker strip and tied to hook B. The point and bend of hook A is snipped off and the only hook is in the tail of the fly
  9. Snake fly produced a lot of fish I had about 17 which was 10 more than anyone else. Been back a few times since and done just as well each time
  10. No where near as bad as most reasons on here but I gave up drinking not long after my 18th birthday. Went to a party with a free bar, didn't realise I was drinking as much as i was. Was trying to put my hand up my missus skirt, pee'd all over the floor of the toilet didn't even aim for the actual bog apparently and a few other things, completely out of character to me so didn't see the point in drinking. Much happier for it and wealthier lol
  11. Me too, I fish it the first few months then abandon fishing come September

  13. Went back to the fishery today, was hard going, most blanked, I managed four. Last cast I had as I was lifting out out of water, no follow, checked behind to make sure no one there so could cast and as I lifter it went solid. Resulted in a pb brown of 11lb 12oz, also had a very large perch on fly that was releasing its eggs into my net got it back in as quick as I could so no pic.
  14. Seen this little fella on my permission today from about 100 yards away dancing all over the place so snuck up and gave him a squeak and got a response. Was thinking of putting the trail cam down but can't put it in this spot too close to lane. Do we think if I placed it by a dead rabbit I'd get him or just Fox and buzzard? https://youtu.be/OZUcJIdToaw
  15. Apart from us two everyone else had between 2&6 fish, it's my first double out of there and it can be quite challenging as the fish seem shy to take flies. They seem to nip at the tail ends of flies. We caught so much as when we had this problem last week, the first thing I done was buy snake flies when I got home which helped out a lot ??
  16. Decided to go fly fishing today, so headed 2 hours to a fishery I've just started fishing and enjoying it. Decided to try a different lake today as last week was hammered by washed out rainbows that had only just been stocked. Started slow but then found a fly that was getting a lot of interest for me so persevered and then started catching. Had a cast along the margins maybe 3ft out and hooked into a monster rainbow, gave an account of himself before rolling over my net at a healthy 15lb, my previous pb was 9lb so was over the moon. Went the shop and bought myself a drink as it was starting
  17. I knew a cracking spot here in Merseyside for them. Then the national trust or wet or whoever it is fenced it off and put none native mammals on the land and turned its into a load of lakes which changed the landscape and I haven't seen one for about 3 years now.
  18. Jet wash? Takes mold/moss off wood
  19. I've always thought of it as the coarse fish are out of season, not coarse fishing. Just the same as when trout and salmon are out of season, that doesn't mean you can't fly fish for pike on a river??
  20. Also in need of a memory free intermediate if anyone has a suggestion, probably going to get a barrio line but open to any suggestions
