I bet it sounds more like the Road Runner than crow. ACME products it honestly sounds like the real bird once youve got the hang of it. if you listen to it with your eyes closed you wont be able to tell the differance. you do need to however listen to the birds and then have a play away from your hunting ground to mimic them. this is true of all manual calls

this is the call i use. its made by a company called acme (didnt thay make all the kit in bugs bunny cartoons? ) and i bought it at a fair for less than a fiver. It works very well by you gripping a reed between your teeth to vary the call sound. Takes a little getting used to as you have to release the grip during the call to vary the pitch. It sounds very realistic and i have called in many corvids with it, even magpies come in to have a look but you cant re-produce their rattling call, sadly. for a fiver it has to be worth a go

whos got the nicest girlfriend on the forum
mole catcher replied to staffy-1's topic in General Talk
quote haha, thats no lie, and anyway less of the perving at our young sexslaves you bunch of old crones!! lol arent you guys getting your yearly bounce? getting older does have its advantages regarding ladys. its a bit like going out in a sports car with you young guys, all revs, loads of speed and suspension that doesnt cussion the ride and a driver who thinks of no one but himself. with us older guys its like taking the ladys out for a long relaxing drive in say, a bently. firstly the ladys get comfort from the well made upholstry, then they get that long smooth feeling of a 4.8 s -
As above, had both and would go for the 95k every time.

I was out lamping a few years ago on the edge of our local marsh area, it was 3.30 on a very cold windy Oct night. My mate flicks on the lamp and there about150yrds out is a jogger. STARK B*****K NACKED apart from a pair of trainers at the time i was using a 400,000 candle power night blaster (anybody else remember them) so you can imagine how he shown up. he looked like a fecking ghost floating across the marsh worst experiance ive had has to be on a night out longnetting. i was netting a golf course that, lets say i didnt have permission to be on. I dropped the nets just inside a row

Hope it all turns out well for you and the dog Chris. sadly dog theft is on the up, thats why i dont mind my dog being anti-social with strangrs. It would be a brave bloke who tried to lead up my dog, it would take his fecking arm off.

It is illegal to use any pre-recorded sounds of animals in disstress. saying that there are a few on the market at the moment but i suppose its a classic case of it not being illegal to sell them, only illegal to use them.

WARNING; DRILLING THE AIR TRANSFER PORT (the little hole where the air comes from chamber into the barrel) WILL WRECK YOUR RIFLE AND MAKE IT USELESS. WHY? An air weapon (pcp or springer) works buy pushing stored air into the release port, there is a very slight delay ( part of the process called lock time) before the skirt of the pellet is expanded by this air, presure builds up and forces the pellet down the barrel. this works by air being pushed from a large diameter storage area. on a springer it will be caused by the piston being flung forward down the chamber, on a pcp it will be

even to turn whites a bit of a weird thing. Ok, here goes. to try and clear this up. I dont have a ferret that thinks its a cameleon, i dont now own a albino that was a polecat before the moult, what i do have is a polecat (not your realy dark type) that is turning very PALE in colour. Still with brown patches and areas of brown that you have to look hard to see. I think my comments were taken a little bit too literally and out of context. I was just sating that a ferret can and often does change colour slightly during and after a moult. Over the last 30yrs of keeping ferrets i have s

those of us that have kept ferrets for yrs will know that each year after a moult a ferrets coat colour will change, each and every year of its life. so sadly sometimes a young silver grey will look like a polecat in colour as it gets older or after a moult. i have a plecat jilll that is starting to look a little like an albino, apart from its eyes of course.

I would like to say a big thank you to Mad Al, not only has he helped me out regarding a few sporting items but he has restored my faith in human nature. If anyone on here has any future dealings with him all i can say is you wont find a more acomerdating fellor to deal with, being true to his word and honest, something not all folk seem to have as a personal quality. So once again Al, THANK YOU regards Molecatcher

jill nourishment running upto breeding
mole catcher replied to dougie_s410k's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
I find in the last week of lactation a bowl of crushed dry food mixed with lactol kitten milk helps the jill no end, also this is a good way to help wean the kits. let them have it at about 3 weeks old and onwards for a few weeks with their normal meat based food. you can buy lactol from any pet shop and just mix it at a little less strengh than you would for kittens, pour it on the powered dry food a make a watery porridge. this also helps bring the nursing jill back up to her former self -
