    i didnt keep the kittens, had a home for 2 of them before i even started and the other three went to the cats protection where i believe they were re-homed within the next 2 days

    sounds lovely to be able to stick one up the rspca but look a little bit closer to the bigger picture. 1, no matter how we try to bad press the rspca they will allways have the backing of the masses as we are, no matter how we dislike it the under dogs in this fight(the hunting side i meen) 2, i have to tread carefully how i am seen in the public eye. the job took place on a large shooting estate and i do a lot of work on there and wouldnt want to risk loosing this contract( mercenary i know but hay, im only looking after my wife and kids interests) 3, would what i have to say abo

    good advise offered by all so far. i have to agree, i look after a few golf courses and never does the thought of snaring enter my mind. The logistics are and would be a nightmare. get yourself a few long nets and ask a buddy to give you a hand as well as shooting you wont go far wrong FAO: moletrapper, those words were penned with passion and thought about the job in hand. as some might say, "" youve come a long way grass hopper"" :kiss: edited to add, look at the size of the rabbit 3rd from the left row nearest camera thats a big boy, bet he was a bugger to skin?

    well mistnet, here it is, well some pics anyway this is yours truly fixing the net to the hazle poles, as i said to you on one of our many phone conversations, i would be rigging them on green hazle which realy needs time to dry and season but at least it will get you started. and when time and finance allow maybe transfer the net onto seasoned hazle or fibreglass poles, untill then take care when pushing them into the ground this pic shows how much bagging there is on this net, 100% bagging minimum this shows a good old fashaioned half hitch being put onto the pole to hold the top runn

    snaring this close to houses? house = cat + snare = cat in snare= pissed off cat owner= police involvement = bad press for yet another good pest control method= more amunition against snaring = total ban both north and south of the border. whilst on the subjet of a ban on snaring, am i correct in thinking scotish parliment are pushing for a ban on snaring?

    kill or harm a domestic cat and you will certainly find yourself on the end of one, if not both of these two laws 1, willfull distruction of a persons property, criminal damage 2, anyone of the many laws that protect domesticated live stock
